Hi there. It sounds like the speaker on your phone is broken! Try enabling speakerphone and see if that works. If it does, then your phone speaker is definitely broken and you should take your phone into your carrier to try and get it fixed. If you don't have speaker phone, I would still go to your carrier and ask for a repair. Alex
There is the Problem with your Mobile Strip some time it get damaged by sliding or loose connection with it & some time the calling Speaker also give problem so kindly change the Speaker first if it solved then ok if it does not then you must change Strip which is connected to the calling speaker it will get resolved. If your not an Mobile technician then do not try this Please Visit your Nearest Samsung Service center they will help you for this.

Wow. I thought I answered this a couple of days ago.
Plug the phone back in, don't pick up the handset or press any buttons, and press "1" on the number pad. That will turn the background music on and off.
if you want to unlock your phone go to options and scroll down until you see phone settings and then scroll again and it says unlock screen permantley or just for now or you just take it off so you dont ever have to lock it
Sometimes (and maybe not with this phone) the physical connector to the speaker ( since the speaker is separate from the phone circuitry) can be disconnected. If the phone is not under warranty or you do not have protection insurance, you can carefully take the back case off and see if the speaker has actually become disconnected. Its rarely software.
more than likely the connection inside the phone for the speaker has broken or become loose. I would recommend taking to your cell phone provider and seeing if they have any means of fixing or replacing the phone.
Try removing the battery, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, reinstall the battery, and power up the phone. This fixed the problem for me on my Curve.
