If you cannot login to the router's configuration URL, then you can reset the Netgear back to the factory defaults by powering up the router and press the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router until the LEDs turn on, then release the RESET button and wait for the router to reboot.
Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the router open an Internet Browser and enter the router's configuration URL
The default login = admin
The default password = password.
You can now configure the wireless settings, Eg. SSID, encryption etc.

You can reset your router using a button available behind the router.
But this will reset all the settings to factory settings and your security settings will be lost, and you need to reconfigure for security settings.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
if there is a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
dont forget to vote hope this helps
