Question about Corel Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus for PC (VS11PLENGPC)

Open Question

DVD won't play on DVD player

I have made a DVD on the Video Studio Editor. It seemed to burn fine, but I keep getting this message on my TV screen, "This type of disc cannot be played. Please insert a different disc." I've tried both -R and +R. Neither will work on the DVD player, but it is on the DVD and will play on my computer. I have Windows Vista if you need to know that.
Also what does this message mean? "Modifying your project settings may clear the cache for video/audio preview and the undo/redo functions." When would that message show up, and how would it affect the burning and playing of my DVD. I am supposed to play and have many copies of this DVD next week. Pleeeeease help me!!!!!!

SOURCE: Hi, I'm using Corel DVD

Hello,
In the MovieFactory window once you select DVD video, a new window opens allowing you to add video photos etc... There is a button labeled "Advanced Editing" In there is a button called Multi-trip Video. Click it and make sure NO trip options are set. If they are your clips will be cut.
How are you importing your video files? Are you importing your VideoStudio Project Files *.vsp? Or did you render your VideoStudio project files to mp3 or mpg etc and then import into MovieFactory?

My dvd player keeps saying 'incorrect disk' why? and what can i do to stop it?

I don't understand your problem.
Is it the TV or is it the DVD? You say you tried other dvds and the problem is still there. Looks like the TV is the problem. Sometimes it's hard to help people when they only mention on screen issues. How can first DVD say 'incorrect disk' and then another dvd, and another still say 'incorrect disk'? It just doesn't seem to make sense. Is the contents on the disk a computer recorded movie, film or home movie? If so, you have to record the film on the disk with a format that accept the DVD. Could the DVD be a Blu-Ray, can it play a number of video formats, DVD, DivX, KviD DVD, etc.? Try first with a purchased movie DVD disc, if it doesn't work, then the DVD is faulty. DVD players these days are meant to play a wide range of video format, including CD discs. If you have an old DVD player, you may not play latest discs. But if the DVD is incorporated with the TV, then you have to insert a new movie and see if it plays. Go to an appliance or TV DVD store and talk to them. Or you can purchase a new movie and insert it in. If it doesn't work, you can always return it. As you said, you've tried different DVDs, sounds like it is a separate DVD player. If so, try other movie discs. I get the same warning only when I insert discs with movies I recorded on my computer, such as Pinnacle video editor.

Cd won't play

Use a DVD authoring software package to burn it - most DVD players need the information in DVD Format, so "VIDEO_TS" and "AUDIO_TS" folders need to be there with video in VOB Format. I recommend IMTOO DVD Creator 6 or above. Drag video in, and click burn. Taaah Daahhh a working dvd pops out. Use DVD-R discs for best compatibility and you should be fine :)

The durabrand 1700

It could be the codec u use to encode the movie,
secondly could be a firm ware problem of your dvd player.
Other than this I can't think of any other reason. or just may be the type of recoreder u use or the recoding programe. If u had check these, then get another player
Sorry, this is all I can think of.
PS. the player firmware is the main reason to me.
Cheers
