Question about Mitsubishi WS-65513 65" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Mitsubishi WS-65513 I changed the setting on the energy mode from standard to low yesterday. After the TV was shut off once, it would not turn back on and the green blinking light continues for minutes before finally stopping. I have unplugged the unit and plugged back in. I have tried the reset button. This has not fixed the problem. Please send help to email nevius@bulloch.net. Thanks!!

If you changed the energy mode from standard to low that is normal, anytime you turn the set on it will do the same,
plug set green light will blink one minute.
turn it on it will blink onother minute and then turn on(make sure that you dont keep pressing power key) once on you can change your settings again.

Check and make sure your fans are working and there is sufficiant cooling to the back of the set. Sounds like it is overheating and going into protection mode.

Constant green blinking light Mitsubishi tv

First wait 90 sec. after power is applied before turning on. If still blinking forever "this is a common problem with the mitsubishi V23 chassis, There are four 1000 UF capacitors in the DM module that go bad. Location #'s c9b01,c9b02,c9b10 and c9b11. The DM module is the large steel card cage on the left side when looking inside with the back off. Once you get the cage out, remove the board. The caps are the larger ones on the top of the board. They will more then likely be bulged out on top or exploded. Replace with 1000 UF @16V or better. This should get you going again. I've done about 15 of these repairs in the last year. Note: try not to mangle the copper grounding fingers. Good Luck.

Green blinking light on Mitsubishi WS-55813 HDTV

generally this means a bad digital module.. as a techinican the first thing that we would check are what is know as standby voltages. if they were there we would replace digital module.! question. Does it blink for more than 70 seconds. This unit comes with a lockout feature. to unlock press and hold menu down for 10 seconds on front panel.

Have you looked at the DM board fix yet that's available here. http://www.fixya.com/howto/h154057-mitsubishi_dm_board_repair Check it out. If the inside of your TV set does not look like this, you will need to get the service manual to disassemble the set and get to the DM board, but use the rest of the guide to repair the board. If you are successful, you will save almost a 1000 bucks! Good Luck
