Question about Dell Dimension E510 PC Desktop
A No boot device means that the system could not find a DRIVE in its boot order with a active partition or boot record. This happends when you get a virus or the hard drive in the system has crashed or you have something in the cd-rom drive and the cd rom drive was first on the boot order and did not detect a boot record.
1. Make sure there is nothing in the cd-rom drive
2. check your hard drive do you hear noises like clicking etc?
3. Find your restore disk or your windows operating system installtion disk put that in your cd rom drive reboot and that will start up the recovery process.
If you got a bad hard drive this will indeed need a new one and from what it sounds like from you , you might not have the tech know how to do this so I would refer you to best buy, or any computer repair shop.
Thanks and please do be considerate when passing threw fixya.com to leave postive feedback and ratings for all experts involved in helping you today.
