If you changed the casing of your psp the reason why its hard to click is you might not reinstalled the buttons correctly.
try to reinstall and check the alignment of the buttons

My psp will not play the games i put in it

Hi maskewfish,
The games that you have already downloaded on your PSP might not be properly downloaded causing you not to play it. Another thing is, consider to double check if you have correct file extension. The following steps I have for you below will help you ensure that games will be properly downloaded and a reminder about the correct file extension to use.

1. Connect the PSP to your PC.
2. Find "Settings", then look for "USB Connection".
3. Press the "X" button, your PSP should display "USB Connection".
4. Please wait until your computer tells you that a new USB device has been connected, then show you a new generic hard drive, usually E: or F:.
5. Click on the drive letter that corresponds to the PSP unit.
6. Now look for ISO folder then copy your desired game (.ISO file) into the folder.
7. When you're done copying your desired games, press the "O" button on the PSP to get out of USB connect mode.
8. To play the game, Use the left-right arrows to move to the game area, then the up-down arrows to find "Memory Stick". Chose that folder by pressing the "X" button again, and you should be able to play all your favorite games!

My psp joystick is broken. it is stuck down. when i play games, the person is always crouching or going down. and the highlighted section in the menu is always going down. I've looked for solutions on how...

The PSP of my son just so happen to have same problem as yours. Aside from the joystick, the 4 directional button (Up, Down, Left and Right) also controls the directions (hmmm... as the name implies). I was able to correct this by replacing the worn out FLEX PCB at the back of the directional button found just underneath the PSP casing. The trace of the Down Button on the PCB is already shorted to the ground which causes the signal to be always active even it is not pressed.

WHEN IM PLAYING A GAME THE MENU OPTION APPEARS WITHOUT PRESSING THE BUTTON FOR IT

It m be possible that when You are playing a game, you may be hitting a button close to the menu button and the PSP may be registering it as a menu press. The only thing I can think of is to be careful how hard you puss the buttons so as not to fool the PSP.
