Hi,
MTS means Multichannel Television Sound, its feature to have other language sound if its being broadcasting by tv station etc. If tv does not give sound that means no other language sound is available with original sound track thus no sound in tv speakers.
Press MTS button on remote few more times until you got sound back in tv speakers.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

Thanks SO Much, Gee! My sound is now back.

But now Another problem: I have had it now on all of its possibilities: mono, stereo, and SAP. All Three sound like the people are talking in a huge empty room, where the voice Echoes all around.

How can I get rid of the echo, and have my sound back to Normal?

    Thanks in advance!

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Tv picture fine : no sound

Check whether the mute button on TV or remote is jammed. Try using a headphone. Try changing the input device to something you know works for sure. If problem persists, it might need attention by a qualified service technician.

Some of my comcast digital channels are muted, while others are not.

It sounds as if you have accidentally turned on your secondary audio settings.
Here is how to fix it....
On your original TV remote next to the "0" key there is a button marked "sound". Press this button until the TV says stereo.

This should fix your problem.
Good Luck and please rate this solution...

NEED SONY CODES FOR PHILLIPS REMOTE

Universal Remote Control Simple Setup

* Point it at a TV set and press the Mute/Power button. (Mute button if TV is already on, or Power button if the TV hasnt already been turned on)

* Keep pointing it at the TV until the TV turns on or muted, most TVs respond in about 5 seconds, the most is up to 20 seconds. (Other universal television remote you find in stores take minutes to program and enter long confusing codes)

* Once the TV is muted or turns on, simply let go of button and you have total control. You can use the remote as if you had the original remote, and responds instantly. ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM of choices with our remote!
Most remote controls require minutes of programming a universal remote code into each television while you read the confusing instruction manual.

Muted on Cerain Channels on Zenith SE2795W TV

Somewhere in it's lifetime, a user has set the 'user preference' to 'mute' while this channel was active. I don't know your specific set, but most TV's need a remote to work 'mute'.
Second hand set?
[A] check all buttons on TV for a crossed-out speaker symbol, or
[B] buy a universal remote and select pin for your set. Then,
Try these:
