It sounds like it needs a belt kit (New drive belts needed).
If this old VCR has not been used for a long time it could also be ceased up.

Red led blinking. tv wont turn on model number

Hi Rick,

First of all, thank you for posting your question here at Fixya.
My first advice is to unplug the unit from the outlet at least 30 minutes to reset itself and check if the symptoms still persists. If yes, may I know if it encountered before then there's some instances that the unit will power up after a few minutes of pressing the power button key?
Also, please double check the model number of your unit, if I'm not mistaken, it is 50H81 not 50H87.

Hi Jdvillanueva, I have a Mitsubishi 52525.

Hi Mark,

First of all I would like to thank you for consulting regarding on your problem.

Your model no. Mitsubishi WD-52525 (Chassis No. V26) is known for steady blinking Timer LED fault after pressing the power button key. Once this kind of symptoms is encountered and the unit didn't come on and stuck to this blinking death of life, it means that the DM board failed to boot up. In normal operation, timer will blink after AC is applied for 80 secs (DM board booting process) maximum before the picture and sound to come on.

You've mentioned that you had already reset the unit, unplug and plug back in to the outlet but still the symptoms persist, then this is a clear indication of DM board malfunction. It will not stop from blinking if the faulty parts didn't isoltated.

Good news! because I have a link where you can buy a repair kit for this kind of fault. Kit includes the parts that are known to be faulty, instructions that will guide you in the whole process of repair. Click it HERE. It is a V26 chassis (your chassis) DLP / DM Power repair kit.

For additional info watch some tutorial video below.

Electrolytic capacitor info. (Known to be faulty on the symptoms you've encountered)

Soldering TutorialHow to desolder parts on the board.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Rating and feedback are highly appreciated.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Wd-65313 turn on then shuts off, pressed input and menu, led light blinks 2 times pause blinks 2 times, what does it mean?

Hi James,

Thank you for purchasing my service.
Please double check your model no. I think it is WS-65313."22" is an error code for "short detect", the faulty parts are the convergence chip (STK-394-250) and the pico fuses. The convergence chips are mounted on the large heatsink.
I have a link where you can buy the convergence repair kit that includes these parts, thermal paste, photo instructional and soldering manual. Click here.
Let the unit unplug for 1 hour to before you repair it, click this link to have an idea how to replaced the convergence chip.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Mahesh Nagarajah,

I don't have the copy of the service manual on my collection on this model no., I've also checked my links online but this is currently not available. May you please double check the model no. and chassis no. of your unit.
May I know also if your unit is totally dead set (no indication of led light at the front panel), it will help diagnose where the fault came from.

i see a couple possibilites. im not going to rule out a bad lamp. the lamp does come on sometimes. i have seen faulty lamps display this sympton. since it gives no error codes (blinks) and then does not shutdown. i feel this is a deeper cuircit board problem that a tech might need to troubleshoot. how long has it been since lamp been replaced

Bows at top and bottom of screen double picture color is everywhere

ok this sympton sounds like a complete faliure of the convergence cuircuts. First thing I look at when I get one of these with these sympton in at the shop is = go to the setup menu and see if you have the convergence option in the setup menu. if you do not then you might have a common problem called the fl231 fuse problem. If you do I suggest reading the article fl231 fuse problem in te tips and how to section of this website. If this is not the case then you have lost power to these compents and will have to replace these cuircits

Cannot connect vcr to Lc-32AF3X aquos tv

To my knowledge, most VCR units would have a yellow, red and white connectors commonly called RCA. What is required then is a triple RCA to RCA connector as shown below. The yellow is normally connected to the video, while the red & white are for the R & L of the audio. An identical set would be on the rear of the TV unit henceforth the connection would be OUT from the VCR to the IN of the LC-32AF3X. Thereafter, the TV must be set to A/V, V1, Video or Aux.
In some instances, a single cable is used to connect some models to the TV. This is called an RF patch cord and would look something like below. This would come form the RF OUT of the VCR to the RF/CABLE/ANT IN of the TV. Pls make sure that the style/form fits your units. Additionally, the TV must be set to either Ch 3 or 4 or whatever the VCR is using as its RF output channel.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Any final decision on dealing with the RCA/GE ITC222 chassis blinking problem?

Thats usually a flyback issue with Thomson. Thats a good suggestion with combining threads. I have often thought it would be great if we could have a way to list fault by Chassis . So people could go to their models look up the fault/ sympton and see the diagnosis for that sympton. Thanks for your input pete, and let me know if you need more help.

Incompatible Sharp vcr remote with sharp tv.

The remote for VCH822U is RRMCG1237AJSA, which you already have. That remote only works for VCR's. Also, the model number 2525100 is not a valid Sharp model number. Double check the model number of your TV and I will be able to find you a remote for it.

As far as working both units with one remote....I can check but I will need a valid Sharp model number for you TV.
