Question about Toshiba Satellite M55 Notebook
I just had my laptop sent to the shop to fix it's overheating problem. I got it back and reinstalled Windows and put all the drivers on, but I'm not getting any sound. The driver is installed, but I can't adjust any of my settings in the Control Panel for my audio device. My volume wheel is up and I've already checked the volume settings. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Ok so no sound, about the driver in windows XP go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware (tab) -> Device Manager and if you have there a device with a black exclamation mark on a yellow circle then you should proceed as folowing: download and install following driver: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=1042103&rpn=PSM50U&modelFilter=M55-S325&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768663#, after that if you still have no sound install from the utillities CD Toshiba Fn-esse utility and see the manual because you have a key combination for disabling sound (eg. Fn+ Up arrow or Fn + F5...etc) (please specify operating system if other than windows XP).
