This stuff it do not power itself from the ipod cause it is on a 3.5 jack ..so it has a battery ..and it is the only thing that you should verify cause it do not has any other controls but the +and- in frequency ..so ..check the battery and change it ..or see the contacts of the battery to be in place...also verify if you plugged it well..cause sometimes from the hurry you may plug it other way around

I checked again and it seams that it has a power connector after all..so ..that may be the issue ..see to be cleaned and you may also try to see if you power it with a similar voltage source if it does..power up..just try a dc adapter ..from the ipod..if you have a way to improvise...an old phone charger will do ...just take 2 wires and verify if it does power itself.....
or see what voltage has the ipod battery and use a similar source ..cause it may be the power plug from the ipod to blame ..or so ..and in this case you may try to reset the ipod ..(Iphone ) to see if it get back to the powering function ...and the other side is if with an external power source that device is not caming alive ..than it is either dead for good..or it has a loose contact ..and needs to be checked with a measurment tool to find the break in flow..

clean the connection point inside the ipod also ...use something with alcohol...even a perfume works if you do not have anything else in handy ..cause my suspicion is that it do not makes contact cause of the ipod..probably something got inside from the pocket ..

Hi
If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, it may be because iPod is paused or the Hold switch is in the locked position. A lock symbol appears on the screen. Slide the Hold switch to the unlocked position and check the screen. If the iPod is connected to a computer and displays any of the following messages you should eject the iPod from within iTunes instead of resetting it:
Connected. Eject before disconnecting
Sync in Progress. Do not disconnect. If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on then check for the correct model in the bellow link.

How do I re charge battery with electrical plug

To charge the battery using your computer:
Connect iPod shuffle to a high-power USB port on your computer using the included iPod shuffle Dock. The computer must be turned on and not in sleep mode (some models of Macintosh can charge iPod shuffle while in sleep mode). When the battery is charging, the status light on iPod shuffle is orange. When the battery is fully charged, the status light turns green.
If you don't see the status light, iPod shuffle might not be connected to a high-power USB port. Try another USB port on your computer.

To charge the battery using an iPod USB Power Adapter If you do not have then you have to buy the same from Apple Store) 1 Connect the AC plug adapter to the power adapter (they might already be connected). 2 Plug the USB connector of the iPod shuffle Dock into the power adapter. 3 Plug the power adapter into a working electrical outlet. 4 Put iPod shuffle in the dock. You can disconnect and use iPod shuffle before it is fully charged.

I don't know why stop my ipod

Greetings Aek Smarth,

Your ipod has probably overheated. Here is what you should do:
  1. Turn on your ipod and let it play until it dies.
  2. Plug in your ipod and fully recharge it.
If your ipod is unable to be turned on:
  1. Plug it in and charge it for over a day.
  2. Attempt to turn it on after this day.
After having it plugged in for a day, it should reset itself and be like normal. If it does not reset itself, than your out of luck. Thank you for using FixYa! =)

Ipod nanao 2 gb problem

Have you tried plugging it into your computer and restoring the programming? Also, you can try pressing the menu and the center button at the same time for 10 seconds. It should go black (turn off) and then turn back on with the Apple logo. If this doesn't fix your problem, you got something wrong with the hardware, not software.

Start with these five simple solutions: Reset, retry, restart, reinstall, or restore

http://www.apple.com/support/ipod.five_rs/

If that is not able to fix your problem, contact apple or your dealer for more assistance or repairs.

If you need more assistance let me know. Good luck.

My ipod nano wont do anything

Did you try resetting the iPod? If the battery were dead then when you plugged it in, you'd still see something popping up on the screen. What's possible is that your screen got disconnected from the iPod logic board or otherwise got ruined. When you try turning the iPod on can you hear any noise inside? If you toggle the hold switch does it show the orange light? If you can't hear any noise and it doesn't show the orange light, your iPod's logic board probably died. You can get a new one off eBay and replace it if you're comfortable opening your iPod. Otherwise, you can sell the broken iPod on eBay for a decent amount.
