I have a panasonic PT-47wxc43 projection tv. I have green and purple halos coming up from the bottom. The screen has purple and green double images which are worse from the bottom up.

Convergence problems. If they can't be fixed from the setting on the menu then the convergence board's IC's are faulty and must be replaced. This is a job for someone who has some electronics experience.

It still convergence chip problem, check big resistors nearby these chips that would be open or devalued and causing problem, specially in green convergence area, your green tube/ gun is just fine and just not getting convergence output signal to show correct image.
I would suggest to download service manual copy of this tv for small fee from any website and fix the issue with schematics help.

Do you have any speakers near the TV, that aren't shielded... ?That's kinda what it sounds like to me.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Replace the convergence amps. That unit takes two Sanyo STK392-110 and you could use 150's for greater reliability. Also replace one or more of the 1.2 ohm resistors in the yoke return circuit out front of the amps.
