Question about GE Profile 25.6 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless-Steel
The ice will come come out of the door but no water will come out. I'm not sure if this is the exact fridge because I don't have any papers on it
At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig . GE has a dispensor heater pt. # WR41X10173 to stop this freezing and it comes with instructions .

There are several possible problems. It could be a bad water valve, a bad switch in your dispenser area, a frozen water line, or a bad control board. Water valves are almost always located on the back of the refrigerator in the bottom right or bottom left corner. Usually it helps if you remove the lower panel first. Always unplug your refrigerator before attempting to service it. You should see 2 tubes coming out of the water valve. One will go to the ice maker and one will go to the water dispenser. You can try disconnecting and blowing through both tubes to check for a frozen line. A bad water valve is the most likely cause.

If the little green lites show up , you do not need a circuit board . If you get a hum or buzzing noise when pushing for CRUSHED ice , then the auger motor is frozen up . Remove the ice bin and use a hair dryer directly on the forks which turn the dispensor . The heat will transfer into the motor , defrosting the armature . Try closing the freezer door ocassionally and pushing the arm to test if forks turn .

SOURCE: Fridge is making Ice and
. Check your water filter first . On some models , only the drinking water is filtered . I don't know which model you have therefore you'll have to check and see if your ice maker water supply is filtered or not . If it is not , that is probably a bad water filter you have . However , if it is , I would check the supply line from the chiller located in the refrigerator compartment usually on the lower right hand side at the back of the compartment . The problem could be a plugged supply line from the chiller to the water valve on the door .
