We have a proscan PS 60690 television which we have been told by a repair man requires work on the circuit board. Are we able to gain a circuit board plan or replacement at a reasonable price?

What is the make and model number of your set. I can post a link where you can get a replacement board or have your board rebuilt if its not broken beyond repairable limits.

I have a flat pannel 60 inch sharp aquos that won turn on

Usually it is a power supply problem, so check voltages, 5V circuit is usually the culprit caused by leaking capacitor, so you have to look closely at tops of the large capacitors on power supply board and if top is swollen, that is problem, very typical in all flat panel TV's, cheap fix for about $6.00 if you have solder gun.

Good luck. FREE-PPV

What part is related to the picture coming out fuzzy. No matter what channel or input or device, the picture is blurred and fuzzy. I'm willing to fix it, I just don't know what's broken.

Sounds like back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board....

Open unit. 1. Look for cables knocked off. 2. Using bright light look for circuit board cracks and broken solder. 3. Look for broken pots, especially the main slider. All of these problems are repairable by competent electronics tech.

My 2004 toyota highlander a/c blows cold air and also hot air. Do you know what causes this and how much it will cost me to fix it?

Yes, I know the answer. The wires on the heat control knob have come loose from the main circuit board. It is a ERY expensive part to replace. However, you can repair it, if you, or somebody you know, can solder wires. You will need to remove the AC amplifier assembly, and disassemble it. it is apart, you will se 1 or 2 broken wires on the control knob circuit board that connects to the main board. Resolder them, and you are good to go.

I usualy fix broken boards but if the crack is around a very small circuit traces it will be almost impossible to fix it.
