Question about HP ProLiant DL360 G4 Server
I have an HP DL360 G4 which is running Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard SP2. I need a PCI Sound Card which will work in that environment.
I have installed a Sound Blaster SB0410 only because it is the only sound card I have which will work in the existing hardware config. Unfortunately, when I try to add the new hardware, it is not even detected. I am not sure if that is due to the O/S or not.
Anyone have a solution? I have not found a good one online yet.
Try this: First-install the software for the Sound Blaster card. (from the cd if you have it.) Next, if you have Internet access download the latest driver updates for Sound Blaster making sure you get the correct os. (Server is a NOS; Network Operating System) Once all done THEN install the card and reboot your system. This should do the trick.
