Look at the fan plug connected to the motherboard, if it has 2 pins(wires) then it is a fixed speed fan, if it has 3 pins(wires) then it should allow for variable speed. You will then need to check in BIOS for your fan settings if it has any and set it to Auto.
BIOS Password is stored in CMOS and retained by power provided by the CMOS (Coin-cell) Battery. To
Reset the BIOS Password, Remove the CMOS (Coin-cell) Battery from the
motherboard for five minutes and restart the system. This will load the
factory default settings and the password would be gone.
Re-install the battery after the password is rest.
You have to shut off the power and then move the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard to the clear position for just a few seconds. Apparently the manual that shipped with m963gv may not have the right information as to the location of the CMOS driver. Try going to PCCHIPS's website and download their manual in PDF form:
You'll find the CMOS jumper location on page 11 of the PDF file (or page 6 on the printed format). On Page 15 is the instruction on where to place the jumper (again, when it's printed, it's labeled page 10).
Intel RC440BX Specification Pg. 46 Basic rules case wiring. The color black is considered ground -. Power wires + can be any other color including stripped wires. (This is standard but case Mfg change to their own specification). Pin 1 is + power for LED Hard drive green LED, Pin 2 is -/ground for Hard drive LED. (Pin 3 is + power for LED Hard drive yellow LED, Pin 4 is -/ground for Hard drive LED).(See more options on pg. 47). Pin 5 is + power for case On/off button, Pin 6 is -/ground On/off button. Pin 7 is + power for Reset Switch, Pin 8 is -/ground for Reset Switch. Once positive & negative pins has been located each connector follows in suit. The Intel RC440BX front case connector is in an odd location. The user will find it hard to connect front case LED connectors while the board in installed into the case.
