Your system could have built up some dust.

You should take it outside, open the case, and spray some compressed air into the system.

I usually use two cans at the same time, works better than one at a time.

Let me know if that solves the issue.

Cooling fan keeps running after engine turned off on a 1996 ef ford falcon

Some fans do keep running after engine is switched off for a short period of time (up to 5 minutes) Check with a service person (ford) to see if that is the case or if you have a faulty sensor.

Fan wont run on auto

Make sure your tstat is programmed for electric, not gas. Or in the settings you want that the TSTAT CONTROLS THE FAN.

Today I get home and my dish dvr has a loud fan sound like a computer fan that wont stop running it doesnt matter if the dvr is on or off

Hello this is Nick Franta with DISH Network.

The DVR fan does typically runs most of the time the receiver is on (or recently turned off). Since the DVR controls the option of stopping live programming and skipping back it is always in use so the fan will continually run. If the sound continues non-stop for the next 48-72 hours we may want to send a replacement receiver for you. You can contact me at nick.franta@dishnetwork.com if it does continue to be troublesome.

If running mutiple errands and the car has been startet and stopped after a few times when trying to start the engine the wont stay running.

Most modern vehicles using an electric cooling fan have a thermostatic switch that will allow them to run even after the engine is turned off. Start and stop driving can cause heat buildup in the block which can cause problems such as the one you have and if the fan isn't bringing the excessive heat down during a stop, the hot engine can refuse to idle or accept fuel as it should.
You should listen to see if the fan is turning on after the ignition is off; this is sometimes delayed for a minute or so until the thermostatic switch adjusts to the rising block temperature and starts the fan. If the main fan is belt-driven, it may be the AC fan that is used for this purpose.

I PUT A POTATO IN FOR 6 MIN. AND AFTER ABOUT 2 MIN. IT SHUTS DOWN AND A MIN OR SO LATER IT STARTS UP AGAIN ,BUT THE TIME STILL COUNTS DOWN AND THE TURNTABLE IS STILL TURNING, AND YESTERDAY I HAD TO UNPLUG...

it sounds like it is overheating. but if only stops for a minute or so dont know if that would be enough time to cool off.When you start it up can you hear the fan running? does it keep running when it shuts down? if it's not running then thats the problem If the fan is running and shuts down when it shuts down then try shaking the door when you start it up the next time or you can try it the first time just to eliminate it being a faulty interlock switch. let me know about what you find about these two ideas.

My hp pavilion a830n fan comes on constantly and keeps running

I won't say that this is any type of solution but I have never seen a computer or hard drive where the fan didnt run all the time, as soon as I turn on any computer I've ever had the fan runs the whole time it's on.

2002 Nissan Frontier Overheating while Stopped Problem,

Hi,

Sounds like the radiator fan is not working. Or if it is and it uses some sort of clutch, then the fan air is not sufficient to cool the radiator. To verify, pls jump/hardwire the radiator fan temporarily to be always on with the engine running. this would mean providing a direct connection to the IGN B+12 and the other to the ground. Try, if it still overheats, then problem is elsewhere; if overheating stops, then it cold be;
  • radiator fan relay;
  • fan clutch;
  • connection from A/C to fan relay. In some instances, the radiator fan will only work if the A/C is on.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
