SOURCE: TV turned upside down

Well its not a good Idea to carry a TV set turned upside down because of the heavy parts mounted on the board could cause stress and crack the printed circuit board. This what most likly happened. The PC board is cracked. If you have no soldering skills and do not know how to work on printed circuits or solid state devices, you should seek the help of a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck.

first place to start on this chasss is with a known failure in the horizontal circuit. there is a capacitor 2455 and 2 transistors locations 7461 and 7463 that have caused a wide variety of failures. i would recommend replacing these components before proceeding as they could be the whole of the problem.

How do i change fork seals on a roadster 1983?

First you must get your bike off the ground in a safe manner so that you can work on it without it falling over. Safety first. Then remove the front wheel and the front fender. Take the brake calipers off. Loosen and remove the top nut on one tube. Work on one tube at the time. Loosen the pinch bolt on the lower triple tree. Slide the entire fork tube out of the triple trees. Hold the spring in the tube and turn it upside down and drain the oil from the tube. Take the spring out. Notice one end is tapered, this end goes into the tube first. Turn the entire tube upside down and you'll see a socket head allen bolt in the bottom of the slider where the axle goes. This is a "piloted hex key" bolt. It takes a special piloted hex key to remove it but you can get it out if you use a brand new hex key or one that has been ground off on the end so that the edges of the hex key are not rounded. The size is 6mm on most front ends. Take this bolt out and the top tube pulls out of the lower slider. The seal is in the top of the slider. Take the boot off, the snap ring out and pry the old seal out. Replace the seal and reassemble the tube in reverse of how you disassembled it. Get the tube back in the triple trees and add the correct amount of oil to the tube Use the quantity listed for a "dry" tube because you completely emptied the fork tube. Put the spring back in and replace the top cap. Then, go to the next tube. Do not forget to tighten the pinch bolt on the lower triple tree.

Good Luck

Comes on after 30 40minutes

Hello
Its picture tube base socket has damaged. Picture tube base socket is one diretly soldered to the base card, which in turn pluged onto the picture tube neck. Its focus control pin will usually get damaged, and this type of fault you describes here will occur. The time taken to clear up picture will vary according to atmosphereic humidty.
You can replace the base card. Unplug the base card from the picture tube base card [do it ver cauciously; not to shake it sideways or up-down - just pull it straight backwards; you may have to apply a little pressure to detach it from the picture tube neck]; resolder it out from the card and go for a new one. Replacing it will solve your TVs problem. OK.

When the tv is turned on, the picture does not come on immediately. The screen stays black and the red light on the front of the set will flash on and off. It could take up to 10 minutes for the picture...

Hello

It is due to your TVs picture tube base socket trouble. Base socket is one that connects the base card with the picutre tube pins. You can locate it at the base end of the picture tube, soldered on to a printed circuit board, and pluged to it. It can be detached from the picture tube neck alongwith that printed circuit board by applying a slight backward pull. Be cacious not to shake the board sideways of upwards or downwards, as it may damage the picture tube pins. Just pull it straight backward. A little pressure may have to be applied sometimes.
After detaching it, look at the wire connections to that base socket. Note it, and resolder it out from the board. Go for a new one of same type. Look keenly to the pin confuguration of the new one with the orginal. Buy one with made up of super quality material. Replacing it will solve your problem. OK.

Our 21" panasonic television is when turned on,

Hello

It is due the fault of its picture tube base socket. Picutre tube base socket can be located at the picture tube card connected at the neck of the picture tube. It is the socket that connects the picture tube pins to the circuit. It can be resoldered out and can be replaced.
Open your tv. Locate the picture tube base card, can be seen connected to the picture tube neck. It is pluged on to the picutr tube, and can be pulled out of it. Be sure not to make any tilt of shake while pulling it out. Just pull it back straight, may have to apply some backward pulling pressure. Resolder it out for the board and go for a same type and number. It can be available at most of the electronc sparepart shops. Replacing it will solve your TVs problem. OK
If you need furthermore asistance, feel free to get me through Fixya.

Well, i bought it in a garage sale no manuel n they put some parts wrong. model 78-9003 525x try to take a look but could see nothing i

Contact Bushnell directly HERE:
http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-warranty.html

All of their manuals are located further down the above web site. I doubt that you have parts missing-- but it is possible.

I suspect that you have the tube mounted BACKWARDS, with the focuser on the ground end of the tube! If so turn it around, the focuser is on the UP end of the telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser.

Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. The image will be upside down. This is normal for all astronomical telescopes.

Read my tips on my profile page.

Viewfinder views things backwards

Yes, most finder scopes show upside down images, it's completely normal.

This is an astronomical telescope. Even the main tube shows upside down images unless you use what is called an "erecting prism" for terrestrial viewing.

Philips tp3267 c102 i had this tv and it fell on its face and scratched up the tube.I then replaced this tube with a sony tv tube.the tube worked fine but it was upside down. i then flipped the tube and it...

I would use a tube from an identical unit. The voltages on the yoke connections can be different from different manufacturers. Otherwise you will need a spec sheet on both tubes from the manufacturer. If you can get the service manual the pin out of the tube should be in there. Hope this helps.

Zenith picture problems

Your TV is showing signs of age. It's displaying something called "vertical foldover" which is due to capacitors in the set's vertical output section that need to be replaced. These failed parts can stress the vertical output integrated circuit, and if that goes bad your picture will collapse to a thin horizontal line. The capacitors themselves (usually 3 or 4 need to be replaced) are pretty cheap. A TV shop in your area (if there are any still around!) could fix it and the repair should be under $100.

By moving those rings on the tube's neck (which is actually the back) you have messed up the set's convergence. Those rings are magnets which adjust the electron beams in the tube so the red, green and blue images line up correctly on the tube face. The rings are often marked with a stripe after adjustment to show how they were lined up. Look carefully at them and see if there are any marks you can go by to reset them. To properly converge the set some equipment is needed to generate the adjustment test pattern. Again, a shop could do it for you.

All things considered, at this point you might seriously consider replacing the set. Not because the troubles aren't fixable, but because other parts can start failing because of age, and by now your picture tube is on borrowed time as well.

Picture tube doesn't seem to stay in place (standard tv)

A very good chance this tv was dropped or bumped. Sounds like the internal plastic frame is broken and will not support the picture tube. Find someone with tv experience to fix this. I would suggest they use a putty found at an auto parts store. To glue the tube and the frame together. This putty is in a plastic tube. You tear off a piece and fold it several times to activate. It will surely do the job.
