Ahem.

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

The device in question is the graphics chipset.

The Operating System is now Windows 7 64-bit.

You were running Windows XP -> 32bit

(Have you got audio? Sound)

This is why I repeatedly try to tell people;

LOOK TO SEE IF DRIVERS ARE AVAILABLE,
before trying to upgrade to frickin Windows 7!

The reason Windows XP blue screened is because the Integrated Graphics of the Asus M4A785TD-V motherboard couldn\'t handle the game.

You need a graphics card. A PCI Express graphics card inserted into the BLUE PCI Express x16 expansion slot, on the motherboard.

(Remember; Install the software F-I-R-S-T, then unplug from power, FOLLOW Anti-Static Precautions; and THEN physically install the graphics card.
Software; The Installation Disk for the graphics card.
Has the Drivers, and user interface.
User Interface: Catalyst Control Center for ATI graphics cards;
Nvidia Control Center for Nvidia graphics cards)

Choose your OS, eg XP, Vista, Windows 7

If you are using Windows 7 download the Vista driver

If you are having trouble with the Global(DLM) link choose instead the Global or China links.

I recently upgraded from xp to windows 7 ultimate. Legal disk, all updates have been done, and all drivers are updated, I am unable to get the on board sound to work. The speaker icon at bottom right has a...

You might try the Vista drivers if you haven't already. Otherwise you're probably out of luck. All you can do is install a new sound card which is compatible with W7 and disable the on-board sound in the BIOS. This is the same problem many people ran into when XP was coming into use, and they found hardware and software compatibility issues. At some point you just have to upgrade your hardware if you want to use the newest OS, and now might be the time.

I have upgraded XP to Win 7 and a ASUS P5PE-VM with Intel 865G chipset --cannot get a driver for 1440x900 Monitor --Can you help please

Sad to say but the Intel 865G does not have any available drivers for Windows 7. If you are using a desktop, try installing an expansion video card.

Hope this info helps.
