Try check if the plug to see if the fuse in the plug as not blown, unscrew the screws on the plug and see the fuse inside the plug to see if it is still good, if not, replace the fuse.

If the fuse is good, check if the wires are connected to the terminals very well, if not, tighten the screws very well to there terminals.

Check if there is any cut on the cable that connects the ac to the outlet, because it is possible that the cable is damaged, if you notice any strange cut on the cable, then you might need to change the cable because this is the cable that supply current to the ac and since it is bad, there will be no power to the ac, so replace the cable unit.

Also, you could try use another cable to plug your ac to the outlet because the cable might be bad, if the ac is not receiving, it will not power up, so try another cable.

Take care.

what kind of screw driver do you use on these flat screws I can't get them out

  • Sulaimon Jimoh Olayemi May 26, 2010

Get a flat mouth screw driver to unscrew the screws of your plug, check if the screws are small screws, use a small flat mouth screws and if it is big screws, use big moth flat screws to unscrew the screws of your plug.

    Take care.

I can not find the flat mouth screw driver anywhere. No one knows what I'm talking about

  • Sulaimon Jimoh Olayemi May 26, 2010

Follow the above link to see the type of screw driver am talking about.

    Take care.

I looked through that website. There was no "Flat Mouth Screwdriver" there either.
The rest of your suggestions were not helpful. The wire is intact from end to end.
Plugging it into a different cord did nothing either.

A thermostat is a highly sensitive control
instrument that responds to even the slightest changes in temperature.
While it has fewer parts to malfunction than the other components of
your heating and cooling system, it can be a source of problems.

A thermostat cover that's improperly installed or inadvertently
bumped can cause the heater or air conditioner to fail to start. Or the
thermostat base may slip out of level, causing it to operate
incorrectly. A far more common problem, however, is dirt. Dirt can
affect the thermostat's calibration and interfere with its operation. If
a thermostat set for 70 degrees Farenheit, for example, is really
maintaining the temperature at 73 degrees Farenheit, the additional
energy used can increase your fuel bill by as much as 7 percent. To
prevent this, check your thermostat for accuracy every year before the
    heating season begins.

Other problems with a thermostat can often be traced to switches on the
base and wires near the bimetallic element that loosen and become
corroded. Tighten loose connections with a screwdriver, and use a cotton
    swab to clean away corrosion.

Please check the above to see where the problem lies since you said the power supply is intact.

    Take care.

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

NewAir AC 1400E. No green light on plug. Pushing reset button does nothing. Has been running OK. Outlet is live. Does not need draining. Any ideas?

If the reset button is not doing what it should. Try these solutions listed below::

Remove and replace the water collection bucket. Making sure the float valve (if your has one) inside the top of bucket is not stuck in the UP position. Also, be sure that the bucket fits squarely into the holder from top to bottom. If it doesn't, it won't trigger the buck removal safety switch.

If that didn't work do the following:

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
Wait 15 minutes, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON.

Generally, doing the above, allows the unit to reset and revert back to the original factory settings and you can proceed from there. If it still does not work, there may be a problem with the cord & reset switch. The best way to find out is test the continuity of the cord, with a multimeter.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

No power supplied when plugged in. The test button won't result in anything. I'm assuming this is an electrical problem and the power cord might have fused out.

It could be that. Or it could be a problem with the outlet it's plugged into. Check the circuit breaker panel for a tripped breaker. Also, check the outlet for interior damage or a loose wire connection.
In addition, if you haven't already, try plugging it into a different out on a different circuit.

Do this process of elimination, will tell you whether it's the AC unit or the outlet it's plugged into.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

On the issue with th ebattery on the 1521 inspiron. Took battery out and plugged in still will not power up. Could it be the adapter as well?

On the ac adaptor, look for a green light that will turn on when you plug it into the wall outlet, if its on that means the ac adapter working. If you get a green light on the ac adapter but then the green light goes away when you plug it into the laptop then that means the laptop has a bad motherboard.

If you plug the ac adapter into a wall outlet and get no green light then that means the ac adapter is bad and you would need to get another one.

How do I charge battery

Simply hook the battery up to the player, plug in the adapter (house AC outlet, car adapter will not recharge batter), and turn the unit off.

The charging light should come on and when it goes out it's fully charged.
