Need a new or recondtioned internal sata hard drive for msi wind dx135

That's correct the is going to be no problem at all to install a new HDD inside of the netbook will be like any other computer so parts are exchangelable, so don't worry just make sure to buy a HDD that matches the space inside of you netbook, and make sure that if you're installing the HDD on your own, to take a look into where's the HDD connected they usually have an adapter to plug them in. You operating system is probably corrupt. You will need to install a fresh copy of your operating system. This will erase all your files, but i guess your computer's health is more important.

Cleaning hard drive

If you want to just get rid of virus/malware and other nasties, then you dont need to , but its always best to regularly back important stuff up.
Follow this guide to clean your Operating system

If however you need to re-install windows with a normal windows disc, everything will be lost and you will need the drivers for your motherboard and other equipment.
If you are doing a factory restore/recovery then you will loose everything, but all your drivers and programs that where on your computer when new will be there.

Feel free to ask if anything is not clear, or you need more information

I have a Toshiba laptop (xp) with 40gb hard drive. It was nearly out of memory so I purchased a new 320gb hard drive. I made a back up with Paragon, saved everything on an external hard drive and fitted...

unfortunately it doesnt work like that, you will have to transfer files from the c drive to the f drive which should give you more room on the c drive, or switch the drives around and re install xp on it the you still have access to all your files still but any programs on there will have to be re installed

Re toshiba laptop 5000

If you have the proper Recovery disk in machine, Reboot system. It should prompt you if you would like to reformat drive. And will warn you that all info on drive will be lost. If you have back up of everything you want to keep just answer yes. System may take a while but it will reformat hard drive and install all original system files and programs.

If you bought it new then back up any files and take it back to the shop. If it's a second hand unit then you need to immediately back up to disc or pen anything you want to save. You are being warned that there is an issue with your hard drive. If this fails then you will lose all your information and computer won't fire up until you fit a new hard drive and install an operating system (if you actually have one). Once you have safeguarded your files it might be worth checking if your laptop is running too hot, which can damage a hard drive, is the fan switching on. There are programs free to download that can test the temperature.
