The most likely cause for water fill temperature problems is the solenoid has burned out, usually cold first, it gets used more. Not a repairable item , easy to replace

I recently had the same problem. I checked the end of the air hose coming from the tub. It had a tear in it right at the connection. I just cut off the hose at the tear and placed the hose back on the connection.

Kenmore is uniformly easy to work on, everything comes off from the front.
There are two 80 models,
on the most common, newer model, the edge trims on the console pop off, there is a phillips screw in each corner, remove the screw, slide the console forward, lift up and flip over.
on the older one the console is released by sliding a putty knife or other blunt blade under the corners of the console to uncatch a clip, lift up flip over
An internal spring stretches over time and does not react properly.
do this repair, on call, no parts, takes 15 minutes,, 3-4 times a month

most likely cuase would be the inlet valve
you would need the complete model number to make sure you get the right part for that unit.

washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably
clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can
get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If
the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose
that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in
the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item
To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.
Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.
If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

The Fcode represented must be checked with the regular working of the machine. Try and remove power and press down the start with the power on to reset. ALso press down the voltage on the pads with the power removed to reset.
Now to have a quick check up it is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.
If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.
Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.
Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.
