There could be a couple reasons for this.
1) You might not have data or it is locked. MMS requires data to send and receive pics. Even if you have free mms messaging you might have a data block on your line.
2) If you are using a unlocked phone or its from a different carrier your mobile network mms settings might need to be set. Normal text messaging does not require any any special settings but mms does.
I would contact your service provider or a tech that van check your APN settings for your mms to work. Hope this helpsm:)
Make sure you have your mobile data turned on. On some phone models, when sending an MMS, the phone will automatically enable it until it is sent. In order to receive one, you may have to enable your mobile data from the phone's menu. Since you're unlocked on T-Mobile, it's possible that your phone supports sending MMS over standard networks, but not receiving, in which case your phone's antenna is not compatible with T-Mobile's network frequency.
Really simple to fix 1. settings >wireless and network > mobile network settings > use packet data> tick 2. settings >wireless and network > mobile network settings > access point names > [click on your APN] > [scroll down to you see "APN type" > click and change to "Internet + MMS" hope this helps.
The MMS service need to be set first.
The settings of MMS messages are provided by your SERVICE PROVIDER
Call your SERVICE PROVIDER,ask them send you the MMS settings of your mobile
After you receive them (they will be sent to your mobile as a text message) save them an run.
Then turn your mobile off for 3 minutes, then turn on.
Now the MMS service in your mobile is active.
You should check MMS profile setting. The proper setting should be configured before sending or receiving MMS. To retrieve the MMS automatically, you should set the settings at "Auto download" settings. To check,
1. Go to Message from the idle screen.
2. Go to "Settings" and then "Multimedia messages."
3. Select "Receiving options" and "Home network."
4. Go to "Foreign network" menu and check the status
5. If it is set at "Auto download", you can receive MMS automatically.
6. If it is set at "Manual", you should operate MMS retrieve function manually.
Hi, you need to contact your mobile network operator to activate the MMS feature for your mobile number and then you have to get settings from network operator and save it to your mobile phone. After that your should be able to send and receive MMS. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks

Then you need to receive and settings for MMS in your mobile phone. After that you can send and receive MMS. Contact your network operator for the cost of MMS.
you need to configure the mms settings from your internet menu... but you need the right configuration from your network provider to the settings..
to give you an idea, here's how you may do it..
from your phone, press menu
select browser profiles to lead you to internet profile settings..
from your settings, press create.
then create the mms profile your network preferred.
once created, press save and exit the settings for internet profiles..
to make the mms profiles be the default settings for your mms, do thes steps...
from your phone, press menu
select phone applications
from multimedia menu, select profiles
assign the mms profiles you created for your multimedia.
press save and exit the setup...
now to check if it's working, try sending a multimedia message to your own number to check if your phone can send and receive mms. once you successfully send it and received it, it means that your phone mms is already set and working...
