There are hex bolts on the bottom rear of both sides of your treadmill. Turn one side one direction and the other sides the other direction until the belt tracks in the middle of the platform.

Susan,

The most common cause of belt slippage is lack of lubrication. Most treadmill belts use lubrication on the underside of the belt to reduce friction between the belt and the platform. This helps the treadmill glide along smoothly under the weight of a person. If your belt is lacking in lubrication, it can catch on the treadmill platform. Apply lubrication every few months to the underside of the belt to prevent this from occurring.

A petroleum or silicone based lubricant is recommended, and most easily applied in a spray can. Simply lift up the belt about midway along the platform and spray a small amount of lubricant underneath from about the middle of the platform width to the closest edge. Repeat from the other side. Apply lubricant sparingly...it can be messy.

Next, turn on the treadmill and let it run for a minute, then check if the belt still sticks. A little more lubricant may be necessary.

Hope this helps.

Describe your proform 765 ekg sticking Problem When I am running on the treadmill, the belt sticks/stops and I about fall off. It happens just for a second, but it causes me to lose my balance. Someone...

The problem you have is one of two things. 1 you have a loose walk belt, or 2 you have a spun front drive pully.

You need to remove the front cover to be able to observe the drive belt as it is turning on the drive pully( on the LH side of the front roller) try to stop the walk belt while traveling at speed setting 3. Hang on to the side handles, if the drive belt runs as normal, watch the front roller it will be slipping. If this happens you will need to replace the front roller.

Go to your local hard ware store and purchase silicone spray. Apply Lubricant by lifting one side of the running belt spray contents length wise starting at motor shroud to the back end repeat this process the other side. If this unit bogs down again then you will have replace the running belt and possibly the deck.

Can I glue the torn edge of my treadmill belt?

I would question why it traveled to the right and cause you grief. Before anything else run the unit and see if its going travel to the right again if it does then check right end cap for breakage. To your first question no you cannot glue the belt they use a high temperature gluing process for the seams you'll have unfortunately replace the belt.

The belt is sticking on my treadmill reebok TR3 (RE-11303). What do i do to stop it from sticking?

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.

The belt went all the way to the right side and it sticks when walking

Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill and the other is to tighten the belt.

There should be two bolts in the rear of the treadmill, one on each side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running) tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the belt will go to the other side.

Running on right cyclenders not running on left side

Hello Joey!
Looking at your brief description about the Timing Belt Replacement. May I suggest a couple of things?
You obviously are Technically adept as replacing cam belts are not the easiest of tasks? However as you are aware when a belt breaks Unless a safe engine the pistons may clip the inlet or exhaust valves and although you are seeing compression one or more may be sticking or possibly the Cam or its cradle has suffered damage, this happened on my Mitsubishi Pajero! I had full compression on all cylinders but would Not run! I made further investigations and found the Cam Carrier/s were ripped out of the cylinder head. I helicoiled them and Bingo instant start.
I hope this points you in the right direction as I'm sure you will solve it with our/my assistance!
Good Luck! and a Happy New year to You and your Family,

Changing belt

take the water and solution tank out of the machine. turn it over an on the left hand side you will see a red clip with a screw in it. take out that screw. flip the unit back over and take off the belt access cover by sticking a straight screw driver down into the slots and popping the clips to release the cover. tilt the machine to the side and using your finger wiggle the red plastic piece down out of the way. the beater bar on that side should be free. make sure both belts are in good shape because the belts run the beater bar and the second belt runs the water pump.
