The specifics depend greatly on the version of windows you are running.
In general, there should be an icon on the lower right hand corner of the screen, right by the clock. It should look like a computer with three curved lines next to it. By clicking this (or right clicking in Windows vista) a menu or a screen will come up, listing the available wireless networks.
Upon clicking on a network, you may be asked for the 'key'. This would be a password set up for connecting to the network when the router was initially set up. Enter this key, and you should, after a few seconds, be connected to the internet.

I don't know what OS you are using ... below is the process to solve your problem in Win xp.

When you try to logon the wireless network, you may end up getting this error message: "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network xxxx".
201057174257987.jpg
This particular error is normally related to the authentication on a wireless network, usually because the Windows is looking for 802.1x connection by mistake. We can fix it with the following steps.
Step 1
Click on the Start Menu --> Control panel.
201057174637230.jpg
Step 2
Double click on Network Connections in the pop-up window.
20105717471412.jpg
Step 3
Right click on wireless network connection, then click on Properties.
201057174730846.jpg
Step 4
Now click on the Wireless Networks tab and select the network in the list at the bottom. Click on Properties once you select the wireless network that is having problems.
20105717489888.jpg
Step 5
Click on the Authentication tab and now uncheck the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network box. If the box was checked, then that was why you were getting the "unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network" message because Windows is looking for one, but your wireless router is not setup for certificate security.
201057174828470.jpg
Step 6
Click on the Connection taband check the Connect when this network is in range box.
20105717497337.jpg
Step 7
Click on the Association tab and uncheck the 'The key is provided for me automatically' box, then choose Network Authentication & Data encryption and type in the Network key according to the wireless settings on your wireless router. Please contact the technician of your wireless router if you have no idea about the information.

Step 8
Click on OK and Click on OK again to save your settings.

As yet, this problem has been successfully fixed, Windows can log you on to the network automatically at once.

WIRELESS CONNECTION PROBLEM

Have you configured your wireless adapter with same WPA key that you had set on the wireless router?
Do you detect other Wireless routers in your area and are they using the same wireless channel as your router?
If so change the wireless channel on your wireless to an unused wireless channel to avoid interference with other wireless routers.
