My memory card keeps saying error what is the matter

- First identify the type of card, some memory card has lock or adapter. - Second, check the condition of the card.
  • Locked switch position
  • Visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card
  • Missing contacts at the end of the card
  • Deep scratches in the card contacts
  • Heat discoloration on the card
- Next, sure that the file format of the picture is supported by your printer - Then, try to save the file on your computer (If the computer can't read the memory card, the card might be causing the problem, you might contact the manufacturer of the card or replace the card) - If you successfully save the file on the computer, try other device like camera etc. - Format the memory card and try to capture an image and check if the file is corrupted or not. - If an error 'Unsupported Image File' appears, the memory is defective. try replacing the card or contact the manufacturer for further troubleshooting. - If the image displays properly, reinsert the memory to the printer. If the same error appears again, try using another memory card. - If the new memory card has the same issue try the steps provided above. And if the same error appears again after doing the steps call HP support to service your printer.

My card is corrupted

Hello,

insert the card into a memory card reader and insert it into our computer's USB port. The computer will recognize and install the card reader.

After that, go to Start > My computer. You will find a drive representing the memory card reader. The drive might be E:, F;, or G;.

Right click on the drive, scroll to format, and allow the card be formatted.

Once it has successfully been formatted, it should be in order again.

Note that all the files on the card would be erased. There is even no point keeping such files because it mush have bee corrupted as well, since it is still in the card.

Good luck.

My Samsung S630 digital camera has or should I say had, recent irreplaceable photographic and video images on it. I viewed the images 2 days ago and they were all there and all ok. I turned the camera on...

Do NOT for any reason use the camera again to take pictures. If it has an internal memory, take it out and, if you need to use the camera, replace it with another compatible one.

Now if you can either mount the camera as USB disk, or you can extract the memory (SD card, stick, etc.) and plug it in the appropriate reader to see it as a disk drive, then you can run RECUVA (from Piriform) and you should be able to recover most of your images, unless:

1) Other data have been written on the memory (that's why I told you not to use the camera)
2) The memory card has been "securely deleted", something I think nobody therearound would do or even know how to do
3) The original, full memory card inside has been taken out and swapped with another (it happened to me once. My Canon and my Palm have compatible SD cards. I inadvertently swapped them). So your data are safe and sound -- maybe in a drawer somewhere :-)

I'm trying to recover 155 RAW photo images from my Lexar sdhc 4gb memory card .I'v tryed 2 differant photo stores but they could not help me ...we could look at the images but not get them off the card or...

you can try this memory card recovery software called asoftech photo recovery that helped me before
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Video out connection

You can get an external USB card reader for the memory card in your camera. You will have to take out the memory card from the camera and stick it in the reader to transfer the images. The external card readers are are around $10 here in the USA. -Vish
