Question about Refrigerators
Best i can suggest is for you to get in touch with your dealer or the manufacturer or their authorized service center. Such incidents would normally indicate an internal problem and any action done might be grounds for the warranty to be voided.
Though offhand, the smell can either be:
1. electrical - motor/compressor insulation burning or just drying;
2. foam/insulating materials of the casing.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
