What is the defult ip address for the zebra tlp2844?

If you are unable to change the IP address of your Zebra LP 2844-Z using the ^default command or Zebra Utilities, and updating the BIOS did not help either, you may need to try a factory reset of the printer.
To do this, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold the feed button on the front of the printer.
3. While holding the feed button, turn on the printer.
4. Wait for the status light to turn solid red, and then release the feed button.
5. The status light will blink green a few times, and then turn solid green.
6. Press and release the feed button once. The status light will blink red a few times, and then turn solid amber.
7. Press and release the feed button again. The status light will blink green a few times, and then turn solid green.

The printer should now be reset to its factory settings, including the default IP address of 192.168.168.168. You should now be able to access the printer through this IP address and change the settings as needed.

reset the printer to factory defult ( from the driver( download segull driver) www.seagullscientific.com
check if the driver that you using have the correct Length and the With from the labels that you use.
Print a test page (should come with windows logo plus the text in all label. clean the printhead.

If you are using Bartender, Make sure to use the Seagull Scientific Zebra Driver. The zebra driver works (but not properly) with bartender. Download the driver from Seagull Scientific site. You can also email bartender tech support, their contact details are available from the help screen on the main bartender design screen. I have always found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

TLP2844 does not support Line mode.

but the LP2844 does.

If you neeed to use line mode change your printer. from TLP2844 to LP2844.

I had this issue last week.

The problem was the power adapter appeared to be not original, instead of the required 20V this one produces 15V, found the original power adapter and the printout looks fine, darkness looks ok now.

The printer only understands EPL code. (Eltron Programming Language) If you are trying to print text from DOS it wont understand (interpret) the txt codes.

To verify that the printer is working.

Open a DOS box, start the dos editor. Type Edit. Dos editor will open.


Type a single capital letter U. and print. Send to printer. The printer will print a configuration label.

EPL code to reset printer is

^default.


If you want to print a text file. use the Zebra Universal Driver. Zebra TLP2844. Open any windows application. E,G, Notepad. type text and send it to printer. Print as normal.

Can you print the barcode using the software that come with the printer. Zebra TLP2844 come with basic Designer software. Test whether it's printing the barcode or not.

IF it prints the barcode via its software, then you might be having barcode font problem between your application/os and the printer.
