SOURCE: When I light my Coleman Catalytic Heater, it burns

The wick isnt drawing up any fuel? Does this heater have a primer?

Could the wick be sitting above the fuel inside the tank?

You might just try changing wicks and restarting.

You weren't kidding when you said Vintage! I was thinking maybe 1950's. What you have is purely antique! I doubt you will easily find anything for something that old. There are a few websites online that cater to antique and vintage appliances. Some have forums where you can request info. You might fare better there.

Oil fired Aga is making wheezing sound

Sounds like air passing where it should not be, try checking that all the components of the burner are seated properly for example the cap on the centre resivour and the other thing is that the wicks are high and causing a taller flame

Could you tell me if an oil fired rayburn will run ok on red diesel, I live in spain and kerosene is not available. thanks peter williams

if it is wick burner it will not work. if it is a single pj a gas oil burner can be fitted that will work. if a twin pj then it will work if you turn up the fuel pressure to 12 bar

Replacement Parts For Vintage Magic Chef stove

You probably have a 1940's model of Magic Chef. Check for the model number under the lid of the cook top on the upper right hand side of the stove. It should have the model number and the serial number, too. You will need both. The Old Applicance Club run by Jack Santoro is the place to go along with a site called "Antique gas stoves"in Georgia. Good luck with the world of vintage stoves.

Vintage electric hotpoint range

I have one of these same model stoves in near perfect condition. I found a website that has a lot of information on these and other vintage appliances as well. The sell parts and even buy appliances too. They will give you an appraisal, but that costs $50. Here is the URL address- http://www.antiqueappliances.com/index.htm

Coleman stove, model 412-5621, will not pressurize the fuel tank. The pump appears to need some replacement part or parts. What should I do?

disassemble the pump by removing the c-shaped ring aroudn the metal cap. a flathead screwdriver will work to pry off the ring.

pull out the pump assembly. The end is probably a old dried out leather ring. It needs oil (car motor oil shoudl be fine) and it needs to make a tight seal.

if it is too loose, it might be possible to press it out to make it wider. If not, it needs to be replaced. The pump assembly is about 8 dollars at many stores.
