Sansa c250 audio problem

go into your menu go into veiw all songs then go to play all

Only use songs that are in mp3 format - some of the songs were DRM-encrypted WMA's with fixed-term licenses.

The "mp3's" may not be mp3 at all, but songs that are in the wrong format. If I'm wrong, then update the firmware

What op system are you running?

take out the battery and start over. you lose all files but it also sets all changes to preset.

Make sure you're not using the media with another program while you attempt to copy/sync it to your device.

Pretty late response, but meh.  

It sounds like you have a music subscription with some music company...download a new song and transfer it to your device...that should solve the problems..if that doenst do it..format your device and tried to transfer song again..

The Sandisk site says that your dad's device should play .wav, .mp3 and .wma files. Has the player EVER worked? I got a C250 for my wife as a Christmas present and my computer recognized but refused to communicate with it UNTIL I DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED THE FIRMWARE UPDATE. The player was a paperweight until then. It turned on and played the demo files pre-loaded on it, but I couldn't transfer a single file into it. Just a thought. Here's the link:
