Question about GE DPSB650EC Electric Dryer
Light in drum comes on, but when you press power pad...nothing... dryer will not come on at all, just the drum light.
IT COULD BE THE DOOR SWITCH. PRESS THE BUTTON IN WITH YOUR FINGER AND SEE IF THE LIGHT GOES OUT.
DOES THE SWITCH HAVE A POSITIVE CLICK? NO. REPLACE SWITCH. YES, THERE IS PROBABLY A THERMAL FUSE LOCATED SOMEWHERE NEAR THE EXHAUST. IT MIGHT HAVE FAILED. IF SO, THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH OVERHEATING. THE MOTOR COULD ALSO HAVE FAILED. THE PUSH TO START BUTTON COULD ALSO BE DEFECTIVE.
