Hi, We have a Saeco Royal coffee machine and the milk frother doesn't seem to be working. Need some advice as to what could be the problem?

1- Royal Coffee is not an accurate model. I have to assume that you are having problem with the auto frother that is on the left side of the machine. The auto frother draws milk from the bottle and steams it into the cup.
2- The connection of the frother & the adapter is not right/air tight. The two O-rings on the frother must be pushed in all the way so the O-ring will not be visible.
3- The frother circular chamber for steaming is not clean. There should be no milk deposits visible at all.

4- The silicone tube puling milk from the bottle is connected to the body of the frother with an L-shaped connector. Make sure this connector is air tight fit.

Hi despite being very familiar with the features on my Royal... I am now unable to turn "OFF" the cup heater... I turn it of and on and off in the Menu but makes no difference.. It just stays on heating...

Hi
Had two of those machines - very nice but now dated - one had done over 35,000 cups!.
While you may have turned it off, it may still be 'hot' as it get heated by the boilers below, if left on for a while.
Otherwise, its an electronic machine with its own little brain - that may well have "thrown a wobbly" and decided to ignore your menu changes.
If otherwise the machine is fine, you can always detach the power to the cup heater if you feel inclined to remove the top of the machine. UNPLUG then remove, water and coffee bean tanks (mind the screws), + two screws in front corners underneath top edge - lift gently off, watch the cappucino frother on left side - also chrome frother tube on front left. From memory two wires to heater - one earth, the other is power. Remove power wire, cover wires terminal with insulation tape thoroughly - reinstall bits in reverse order.
Cheers
Mike

Our PrimaDonna coffee machine doesnt appear to be takeing in any milk from the jug to make latte's or cappuciono's, is there any way of sorting this out ?

Most common cause of this problem is a blockage in the milk jug. First thing you should try is soaking the complete jug top in a quality milk line cleaner (available from specialist coffee machine retailers) for at least an hour and then rinse thoroughly. Then try running a fresh cleaning solution through the jug instaed of milk. Good luck and post again if this doesnt work.

Cappuccinatore Milk Temperature on Saeco Royal Pro Machine

Hi

First open it up and run it without any milk attached until just mostly steam is coming thru. Turn off - then drop the tube into a jug of milk which is locted below the outlet. If its steaming, the milk will be heated up ok - it may need flow adjusting - lift the thin 'plug' near the tube up and down to adjust flow. You can add to the froth by lifting the tube out of the milk for a moment then back in again a few times.

To clean the unit just run clean water tru as tho it was milk until it comes out totally clear (about 1/4 cup). For hygiene sake make sure the tube is wiped clean on the outside with a clean paper each and every time when finished.
You can flush your main coffee lines out by making out its doing a large preground coffee - but don't put any preground in.

Select preground - select large coffee and go. Pays also to remove the brew unit and wash in warm water once a week - saves coffee goo building up and causing it to stick.

The mahine does not froth the milk properly anymore

alisha165,

the saeco royal digital dosn't froth milk.... it produces steam, you are the one that froths the milk. is the machine still producing steam? if not you will need to have your steam boiler replaced. This should only be dune by a qualified repairer. If it is still producing steam but it is not as good as it use to be, descalling you machine may help.

How does it make coffee?

You fill it to the line indicating how many cups of coffee you want to make. Then you add coffee to the brew basket, at least 1 full heaping teaspoon per cup. Put the basket on top of the stem and place the stem into the coffee maker. Put the lid on and plug it in. That's it. Don't plug it in without the lid, it's a percolator. It will squirt the water out the top of the stem and it flows down through the coffee grounds.

Saeco Royal coffee machine

There is probably something wrong with the milk frother. I would purchase a new one before having the machine serviced.
