Can anyone help in connecting ()USB) my stiletto 2 to my PC using My Sirius Studio. It seems that it is a serious problem for Sirius. They replaced the unit under warranty, but problem persist. unistalling the software several times also does not correct the problem. My PC uses WINDOWS XP.
I had a sync problem with the Stiletto 2 (SL2) and was able to resolve it by the following procedure:
Click "Start" Click "Run" > Type "devmgmt.msc" Click "+" next to "Other Devices" Note: You should see a question mark and exclamation point next to "Stiletto 2" Right click on "Stilleto 2" (to see menu); then, left Click "Update Driver." Follow the steps in the windows hardware update wizard.
You must be sure to have satellite radio turned off in order to connect to the pc. If you are using a home dock, first make sure satellite is off and then push the "Sync" button on the front of the home dock.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You will need to use the aux input from the top of the unit, or from the back of your home dock. If your receiver has a built in or add-on dock for the XM2GO line of radios, you will need to read here: http://www.digitalradiocentral.com/sirius-backstage/stiletto/108379-i-converted-xm2go-dock-stiletto.html
Try plugging it into USB and using this recovery software: http://www.sirius.com/servlet/Satellite?c=FlexContent&cid=1202144018210&pagename=Sirius%2FFlexContent%2FFlexEmpty It may also need to be in the charging base during the restore.
exact same problem here. the fuse inside is blown, according to sirius tech support.
I have a new one "on order" as a warranty replacement. They said it could take up to a month (in canada)
i read many bad reviews about this unit... now I agree with them completely. 3 months of light home use before a fuse blows? Pathetic.
A month wait for a new one? Unforgivable.
I had to re-install Version 1.1 of My Sirius Studio from original CD that came with my Stilletto 100 as the most recent Version of My Sirius Studio did not recognize my Stilletto when I plugged the USB into my PC, when I re-installed Version 1.1 over the newer version, I shut down the Stilletto by holding down the power swith for 5 seconds then powered back up while holding down the Options and Display buttons at same time until the screen asked me to plug the USB cable into PC to recover. I did this and about 5 minutes later the the software/firmware was re-installed in my SL 100. I then plugged SL 100 into antenna and selected satellite radio, took about 1 minute to re-aquire the station ID's and Icons then I selected Sirius Hits 1 then everythings was back to normal, other than I lost all of my stored songs and recordings, but at least my SL 100 is operational again.
You need the firmware upgrade from the Sirius website:

Firmware version was too old to be reconized by new version of My Sirius Studio (MSS). Put Stiletto into recovery mode, pulled the latest driver from sirius, updated, which allowed MSS to see the unit.
Usually this is a signal issue and it happens when recording indoors mostly, right? The signal dropps but only for a second or two so when you look at it its fine. you've probably notived it cutting in and out when "live" from time to time. Use your signal meter built in to the device and find the strongest signal location. If that doesnt work or its not the problem, update the software. If that doesnt work try running the recovery software but only as a last resort because you'll lose your recordings.

You have to use My Sirius Studio as the interface to your S50 to add/remove MP3 songs. Depending on your Windows version (hopefully 2000 or later) you should be able to connect via USB and Windows will autodetect the device.
My Sirius Studio is a poor man's iTunes where you have to add music files before you can drag them to the playlists you created on your S50.
You can download the software from the Sirius web site, including the latest update.
Keep in mind you have to disconnect the S50 from My Sirius Studio. You can't copy files to it and then unplug the USB cable.
