Question about Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum

My hoover floormate leaks continuously

I guess I shouldn't be complaining, because at least I can still use my scrubber. But after reading all the different problems, I too have noticed that besides the leaking, it seams like my scrubber is not getting the floor as dry as it use to and that the reservoir does not fit like it should. Is this just coincidental or a defect that the manufacturer is aware of and has some suggestions. If it is a problem that can be fixed with some new "O" rings please let me know where I can purchase them.

gasket around the little intake that fits into the solution tank is wore out and causes it to leak continually

My H3000 floor mate leaks continously. I think I am missing the O ring that sits on the vacuum opening at point where the clean water tank makes contact with the vacuum. I talked with a vacuum store and they claimed they did not see an O ring at this site, which does not make sense to me as there is the perfect little divet for an O ring. I did buy an O ring from Ace Hardware but it did not fit snug and the device still leaked. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a No. 6 o-ring. It goes over the nipple which connects to the detergent reservoir.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The problem could be that the Hoover H3000 Floor Mat could be clogged or something is blocking the suction port or you may have a pinched line of some type of which would cause it to not pickup, also you could have a bad tank assm or like you said in your request that the gaskets need replacing, the tank should fit properly and it could be warped or the gaskets could be bad, feel free to check with a local vacuum dealer in your area or in the yellow pages or the Hoover factory phone number is listed below:

With my floor scrubber, I end up with really clean spots (where the tiles are high) and dirty spots (where the tiles are low). Tips?

High spots are preventing scrubbing element from reaching the lower spots. Guess you will have to get on your knees to finish the job.

Hoover spinscrub

I would be careful in mixing solutions with different machines. The steamer carpet cleaner applies the cleaning solution differently than the spin scrub. If anything, I would delude the solution before using it in the shampooer. The steamer automatically deludes the solution, the scrubber directly applies a thick coat.

No power to scrubber head

Hi Dennis_b,

to continue checking that problem, please see, with an electrical screwdriver, if the machine has energy where the scrubber connects. If yes, the problem is in the scruber; if no, the problem is in the machine, where a red and a black wire makes the connection since the electrical extension to the scrubber connetion, passing thru the swich. it makes me to think in various problems. Even a broken wire can make a malfunction.
