IF YOU HAVE OFFICE 2003 OR LATER INSTALLED

Go to the picture from which you want to remove the red eyes. Then , right click on the image and from the open with menu , select Microsoft Picture Manager.

Now select the edit picture button.

This will bring up a toolbar at the left of the window with the photo editing tools.

2) Then , on the right hand toolbar , select the Red Eye Removal Tool.

Red eye on sanyo digital camera xacti, always theres a red eye when taking pictures,i already adjusted everything, still occuring red eye.

Do you mean your subject's eyes are showing "redeye"? This is a common problem with cameras that have the flash very close to the lens. Almost every photo editing program has a tool to remove red-eye. Check your computer to see what you have installed. In the future, most cameras have a red-eye flash setting which shoots a short flash before the main flash to close down the pupils in your subjects eyes to eliminate red-eye. You could also turn up the lights in the room...sometimes that helps.

How do you activate red eye reduction in the 5900?

To take photos with red eye reduction requires your flash to firerapidly before snapping the pic. Make sure camera is in record mode pres the 4 way switch with the lightning sign on it. The flash modes will pop up. select red eye flash.

To fix red-eye after a photo is taken. Bring up the photo in playback mode and press menu button. Red eye reduction should be available as one of the menu items. Otherwise, display the pic, press OK button in center and if you like the fixed picture then select yes to store it.

I get eyes that glow white in my pictures

bubba41, You didn't mention using the built-in pop-up flash that's when you get the "red-eye" and you can set the flash for redeye reduction when it's used.  If you are taking an indoor photo without the flash, if the redeye reduction is on turn it off that would eliminate the zombie or X-men eyes you are describing. randy320sgi

Red eye and wise shot

I can help with the red eye - I've had the camera a year now and have only just found it myself!! - After you've taken your shot, review the picture and then press the Hold button, press the right side of the menu button, just as you would when switching through your pics. In the blue menu bar at the top you will see the red eye 'paint' symbol, press down on the menu button and it will 'red eye fix.

Red eye reduction

while in record mode, press the flash/up button repeatedly until you are in red-eye reduction mode. red-eye reduction mode should greatly reduce the problem when enabled. If this does not work, the software that came with your camera (and most photo editing applications) include a red eye reduction/removal filter.

hope this helps,

Red-Eye Fix

Here is a link to the product manual: http://alpha03u.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900 It states that to turn on red-eye reduction mode (p.43), go to the Camera menu, then set the top setting (red-eye) to "on". Even if you are unable to get this to work (or if you do get it to work, but are unhappy with the results), there is a really nice free proto organizer (www.preclick.com) that includes a red-eye removal tool that is really simple to use.

Animal Eyes

I've seen some of those white eyes photos. Some are down right scary. I'm sure you have encountered red-eye when taking flash photos of people. With some animals, it is not red - but white. .... Try to catch the animal looking away from the camera when you take that flash picture. Have someone distract him/her. ............
