Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range
They spark sometimes and others they don't. I have tried cleaning everything I can think of including the screws that are used to ground the heads, but nothing fixes the problem. I'm guessing the control board may be the problem, is there a way to test it? Also if that is it where is the best place to get the part?
If ALL the igniters are affected in the same way, I would suspect a spark module that is going bad. All the top igniters are the spark type and are fed by a spark module located either behind the bottom drawer or behind panel on the back of the range. Repairclinic.com carries the part for about $65. Just type in your COMPLETE model number in the Search menu and scroll through the pictorial list of parts for a "Spark Module". You can also try searspartsdirect.com. They also carry an inventory of parts for quite a few name brands. I hope this helps you. Please post back if you need further assistance.
