I have a T-Mobile dash and cannot get it to charge.
I have a t-mobil dash and cannot get it to charge. It appears that I have a loose adapter plug (the part on the phone). When I plug in the charger, the cable is loose in the phone and the light will not come on showing the phone is charging (battery is dead, so cannot see screen. Have been told its not the battery.

You can open it up and see if the lcd cable has come loose.
The following link provides directions on how to replace you screen. You only need to go to step 7.
After resetting the cable, and it doesn't work, then you probably need a new screen. I provided a link below where you can get those.
The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
if you have your wi-fi running all the time and if its constantly searching for wifi service it wil eat up your battery in like 5-6 hours, and make sure you use ONLY t-mobile dash charger, it does make differance,
You're correct. It doesn't sounds like the Dash is charging. At the very least, it doesn't sound like the Dash is charging properly. If you've got a T-Mobile store near by, you might want to stop by and see what they have to say.
(Note: the Dash battery has a tendency to go bad after about 12-14 months, so it may be as simple as a battery replacement. Worst case scenario, it could be a dead charging port on the device.)
I had the exact same annoying problem. Easy fix though. Get the palm universal cradle. The power connector is either worn or loose and making partial contact. So when you use the normal adapter there might be a position that works but generally it won't. When you use the cradle the weight of the LD presses the contacts more and it will behave.
I went through a couple of chargers before getting the cradle and fixing it once and for all.
