You can ask virgin to assign a seperate ip to you which will not conflict with the other (someone in the same area) computer's ip. I feel the computer shop may not be able to help you in this regard.

Let me know what happens.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you have any problems concerning where you can find the drivers you can try downloading driver magician 3.45 and use these serial numbers

user: Giveawayoftheday

You should scan your computer for the drivers after you have installed your software. now you can have all the links to the drivers you need. including your PCI DEVICE and USB LAN.

It shows im connected to the internet but i cannot get online

>If you are using any antivirus or firewall software means please go ahead turn off those softwares and try to connect with the internet and mostly your issue will get resolved in this part
>Restart the computer in the safemode with netwoking, inorder to get into the safemode networking you have to restart the computer and at the very begining of the booting process itself you have keep on pressing the F8 key and so if you are able to go online means definitely it is the issue because of the firewall so you can contact your firewall company.

Guidance setting up a shared connection :)

1- set up router trough desktop
2-run program for wireless, after it gives you the IP ( which it already has, set user name and password for protection)
3-set up the laptop as a "Shared folder" along with the printer if there is one.

Limit or no conectivity problem

I understand that you are using the Windows Internet Connection Sharing to share your internet connection to your other computer.

If you don't have a router to share the connection then you are using Windows ICS connection.

When you enable ICS, the network adapter connected to the local area network is assigned a static IP address of 192.168.0.1.

You can check this site for more information
http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/ics_xp

You can try to connect the two computers first without the internet connection.

Example : PC A 192.168.0.2
You can set the IP addresses manually, just set the tcp/ip properties and from that area you can set the IP address manually.

And for PC B 192.168.0.3
You dont need to set the ip address for the gateway and dns since you are just testing the connection of the two computer.

They should belong to the same workgroup example HOME and set the computer name to PC1 and PC2.

You can right click MY COMPUTER then select PROPERTIES then you will able to see the computer name.

To start the wizard
1.
Choose Control Panel from the Start menu.
2.
Click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Set up or change your home or small office network.

Laptop cant connect wirelessly

Hey Charlie, If you re-installed your operating system you will need to get the wireless modem driver from your dell disk. For some reason they have not included the drivers in the windows software. If you can't find it then you can go on to the Dell site(obviously on another computer) and enter your service tag and get your drivers that way.

I hope this helps

Networking

there are two simple ways to resolve this. one way is to turn one of your computers into an internet gateway and share your internet connection with your other computer. another way is to use a device called a router to share your internet connection to both your computers. which of these would you like to try? before answering this know that using a router is much expensive than the first solution. however, in the first solution offered turning one of your computers into a gateway means it has to stay on for the other computer to be connected to the internet. go over these options and tell me which would you prefer. then i can walk you through with what to do and buy.

IP address

Hi,

connect the computer to the Voice terminal VT1005v( WAN port)<---PC and check the ip address on the computer which should be "192.168.102.X". Open the web interface of voice terminal ( type in " http://192.168.102.1/admin.html " in the address-bar of your internet browser ). you can see the Restore Factory Defaults button and click on it. So you can reset the device. After that, reboot the your whole network.

hope this will fix your problem

Internet sharing

Hi, Could be done. On the Dell XP - 1. Activate your Internet Connection Sharing. Go to Control Panel, Click on Network Connections, right click on your Local Area Connection, Properties, Advanced tab, check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection. In Home networking connection, choose "Local Area Connection", OK; 2. Back to General settings, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Properties, tick Use the following IP address: IP address 192.168.0.1, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0, Default gateway 192.168.0.1, if you know ITT DNS use them otherwise tick "Obtain DNS server address automatically." You have to connect the DellXP with the DellVista using a crossover networking cable. On the Dell Vista- 1. In your Network Connections, right click on your Local Area Connection, Properties, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Properties, tick Use the following IP address: IP address 192.168.0.2, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0, Default gateway 192.168.0.1, if you know ITT DNS use them otherwise tick "Obtain DNS server address automatically." The above method will also work with peer to peer wireless networking. It might also facilitate connection if you enable auto-detect proxy settings in your browser. There are other methods. This is also better explained at Microsoft support Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
