Question about Sub-Zero 650 / O Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
I have a Sub-Zero 650. A friend of mine owns a laser cutting business. I want to remove the existing panels and use them as templates for stainless steel panels. The existing panels are white. Could you explain how I remove the existing panels? What is the sequence of disassembly and reassembly of the door frame?
I removed the door from the 650 to move it. I am unsure as to how to install the door back onto the fridge. There is a somewhat tranangular shaped piece approximately 3" x 3" that has a white plastic bushing through the center of it. I am unsure as to how this incorporates into the hinge. Please explain how to reinstall the door, step by step.
Thank you, I look forward to your solution!
This is a two person job! The triangular piece with bushing is the door stop. It must be held up into place first. Put the round hole onto the larger stud while making sure the smaller stud fits into the slot on the door stop. Lift the door onto the lower hinge set in place. With one person keeping the door steady hold the door stop in place (the inner door trim on the hinge side must be off) place the top hinge piece back in place and screw in th two small shipping screws first then the four door hinge screws next. This can be very difficult if never done before and may be worth having a Trained tech to do it for you. If you want the white door panel out simply remove the door handle trim and then you can access the screws for the handle. Take the handle off and slide the panel out!

Most likely you have a leak in the evaporator. Subzero warranties the parts for 12 years. Call them to find out what they will cover. They are agreat company and will be fair with you.

remove the crisper drawers and you will see a drain trough and a drain line . One or both is most likely blocked. If you pull the drain line off the trough usually you can clear it with a turkey baster filled with hot water

Testimonial: "Problem solved, thank you!"
I have subzero 642 but it should be the same. Remove 2 screws on the top edge of the door. The screws attach a metal track to the top of the door and the track needs to be loosened to allow the front wood panel to slide out. Next on the side edge of the door are 3 metal strips. The middle one is held in place simply by magnets and slots at the top and bottom edges of the door. You can remove the middle strip by lifting it out in the middle with a small screwdriver and pulling it off. This will expose 3 or 4 screws that hold a metal track to the side edge of the door. Remove these screws and the metallic track on the side edge of the door. You can then slide the wood door panel out enough to expose the 2 screws that the door handle attaches to. Good luck!
