Hello there:
In order to get to the fuse you will first need to remove the outer cover this is done by removing the 6 or 8 screws that are on the back panel the screws that are along the edge .
Next remove the screws that are on the sides there should be 2 or 3 per side.
Next the cover should slide to the rear about 1 inch then it should lift off from the rear and up once the cover is off look on the side and you will see a circuit board that has the fuse on it now simply remove the fuse and replace it with a new one
NOTE### MAKE SURE THAT THE FUSE IS THE SAME MEANING WATAGE ECT OK
once the fuse has been replaced plug in the microwae and see if it now works and if so great just put the cover back on and you are in buisness again but if it still doesent work you may have a inverter problem this is the part that gives the microwave its power ok
Hope this has been very helpful for you
Best regards mike

I have kenmore mikewave over cook a meal, now no power, is there a fuse in them if so where, if so is there a no i can call to replace the fuse

My experience with another brand had the fuse inside the unit, which required taking the cover off. It was a glass cartridge fuse on the circuit board. This is a job for someone familiar with working with electrical devices.

Has no power,

see the next steps: God bless your use the common sense, NOT feared.
No Lights or Power, Unit seems Dead First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.

Does not start. The power cord, plug, etc., are O.K.

Hello :

Maybe there's a problem with the power transformer or the power PCB [ Printed circuit board ] . Or it could be just a fuse . You need to check first . If it's the fuse , then that will be easy to solve , you need only to replace it with new one . But if the problem is with the transformer or with the PCB , you need to take your microwave to the service for repairing .

To locate the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board .

CAUTION: Your microwave oven is capable of giving you a serious electrical shock, even when it is unplugged. I strongly suggest you seek the assistance of an appliance repair technician when conducting any microwave oven repair .

good luck .

No power. Checked AC connection and have power

Most microwave ovens come with a fuse. Typically it is a 20 Amp fuse. Be careful if you decide to open the cover, the the fuse should be close to the electrical wires coming from the plug. Hope this helps.

Does not turn on at all it's totally dead

It may be a fuse or, the power supply board. you can check the fuse by removing the cover. the (IN-LINE) fuse is located on the power supply board. check it for continuity. if the fuse is in good condition, replace the power board.

No power on the microwave

HI, there is an in line fuse located on the Ac power cord near the power supply inside the microwave. Check to see if the fuse is blown. replace the fuse if needed. Now, if the fuse is in good condition, this will confirm power board failure. you will need to replace the failed component or replace the entire power assembly in this case.

Power off

Chances are if there is power available to the unit and it will not power up, the internal fuse has opened. This is not a user serviceable type repair. that being said, remove the cover, near the power supply is a ceramic fuse, test/replace the fuse reassemble. if the fuse continues to blow it will most likely be easier to replace the unit than to repair it

Microwave has no power

Is the outlet ok? Can you plug somethng else into the outlet to see if the fuse or breaker controlling the outlet is ok? If there is power at the outlet, unplug the unit and remove the outside cover.
Look for a blown fuse on the motherboard. Replace it with the EXACT value of the original fuse. You can purchase a new fuse at Radio Shack or hardware store or auto parts store. Try powering up the unit again and see if it works now or whether the fuse blows again. If it blows again, the power supply may have been damaged. Was this a power outage or surge? Was anything else in your home affected?

No power

You mentioned taking the "buttons" off. That may not give you complete access to the units motherboard or power supply area. Unplug the unit and remove the outside cover.
