We recently got high speed internet from Qwest. It will not work. It keeps saying that the can't "ping" it. All light are green; power DSL, and the Ethernet. The internet is not. I have contact dell and qwest with no remedy. I have been told I don't have a IP address, or Lac, or Lan card? I just need an address to get this to work.

The DSL router/modem will receive an address from your ISP (Qwest) and will assign an address to the connected PC.

There should be a cable that goes from your DSL modem to your PC. It'll either be a USB cable (flat rectangular plug on the PC end), or a RJ45 (looks like a wider telephone plug).

If there is neither connection between the DSL modem and your PC, then the PC can't "talk" to the DSL modem, so it's not getting an address from the DSL modem.

Just upgraded my internet speed. Went from a ping speed around 85ms to 800ms. Because the Ping speed is so High I can not play my 2 online game I get lag.look at the ISP but it did not say what to do.


You may have to configure your new router to pass gaming traffic with a priority over other traffic. Can't help you much more than that without knowing more.

I got 2wire G802.11g suddenly their no power on my modem, i use light tester to see if my breaker has gone off but it not i don't know what is wrong ,,


power adapter is the problem and it's a known issue for 2wire modems: if you are under an Internet Service Provided kindly contact them specially if the modem is still under warranty.
you can also try looking for a PSP power adapter... this works but not really a guarantee...

My dsl light is flashing and the 2wire router just clicks over and over again. All other lights are on and green except for the Internet light (because dsl is flashing). Router has been working perfectly...

In the http://192.168.1.1/ dont display the information


1. Unplug the power cable from your high-speed internet modem.
2. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable (included) to the number 1 port on the router.
3. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on your computer.
4. Connect an Ethernet cable from your high-speed Internet modem into the Internet port on the router.
5. Plug the power back into your high-speed internet modem. Plug the power adapter into the router and wait 30 seconds before plugging it into a power outlet.
6. Wait 30 seconds for the router to fully connect and open an Internet browser window (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari). Type http://vizio.home or http://192.168.1.1 in the browser window and press Enter. The Quick Start App will automatically start.

Qwest DSL / Issues with Motorola 3347


The modem overheats due to lack of ventilation. I fixed mine first with Ice packs then a small twelve volt fan and some inexpensive heat sinks glued to the top of the two processor chips.

You need to cool the modem down!
