I lost my driver cd of my compac pc what to do no...

If you try to install from cd/dvd drive, your optical drive lens can't read data well and resulting to delay transfer of data or error installation.Try cleaning the lens with cotton or lens cleaner and try again. Or maybe you have bad installer.

type at the search engine (download for Software driver

instruction so you can get your download. Then, at your
PC, open the download, and have it installed. Then, test

Have you try sonic? That come with the Hp Compac pc softwares. Find the original two cd that comes with the pc, and look for the restore and drivers cd. or try to system restore the pc where you think the last time you burn cd on you pc.

Use a different pc & download what you need from the compaq site & burn them to cd. Then boot from the os disc,format as usual. Install the drivers you need.

Go to start and right click on My computer then properties/device manager. Go to DVD/CD ROM and right click and select uninstall.
Reboot your system and windows will locate it and reinstall it.
Do this one drive at a time.

**NOTE: Even though your computer may SAY that it is a Presario V2000, it may have an entirely different product number for downloading drivers specific to your particular configuration.**

1) Look at the serial code on the back/bottom of your computer: there is a number starting with p/n (ex. p/nEX664UA#APL) This code identifies your computer beyond the V2000 label.

2) Go to the compaq/hp website: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html#Support

3) select "Download Drivers and software(and firmware)"

4) THEN, enter your P/N Instead of "Presario V2000" into the product name/number box, and hit enter.

Select your operating system, and you will be redirected to a page listing all the necessary drivers for your model.

5) Scroll down the screen, and you will see a section where you can order free copies of the recovery cd. just enter your serial number from the bottom of your laptop.

* request to visit compac laptop site type ur laptop model number and download motherboard cd and install sound driver by going to mycomputer->right-click properties->device manager->here if u get yellow ? in sound driver ->right click and give update before this put ur download cd in cd writer or whatever

*give motherboard model number in visited site and follow same procedure as above
