You might want to let me know what the make and model is of your printer, but if it's your paper pickup tires being dirty here's a quick and simple trick.
pour a very small line of rubbing alcohol on the leading edge of a piece of paper just so it's damp and not soaked then load the paper into the tray and hold sheet while getting the machine to try to feed it. don't let the machine take it. what you are doing is allowing the rollers to turn onto the acohol dampened paper which will clean them easily. once your done remove the sheet wait a minute for rollers to dry and try it.
