Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Radio AUX missing

I have a Kenwood radio and my AUX function is not displayed. It has worked before, but I had to reset the radio because it froze; now the AUX is not there.

How do I turn the AUX back on from the menu?

How do i wire my kenwood DPX308U cd player to my 2003 ford f-150

Red wire to power that comes on when you start your car. Black wire to ground or metal. Blue wire is for remote turn on of power amplifiers . Yellow wire needs to go to a constant power connection because this is for memory, so all of your radio stations will be there when you turn the unit on. The other paired color wires are for speaker connections. Here is a link for a PDF manual that will show all of your connections. Hint disconnect your battery before making power connections so you don't fry your radio.

My kenwood reveceiver is this model DPX502

if you call the service center, you should be able to mail them the unit - just need to set it up with them over the phone or email.

I can't perform miracles over the internet so I suppose sending it to them is the only option.

Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

Is the sound source set correctly? There is a button to select the radio receiver, CD, AUX, USB, etc. That usually the problem when my wife can't get any sound out of my Kenwood!

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP438U and I need the serial number. Is there a way to have this displayed on the stereo screen so I do not have to remove the stereo?

Sorry, there is nothing like that available on any car stereos I have ever repaired. I have been repairing many different aftermarket brands for over 17 years.

The Kenwood serial number is on the bottom of the stereo on a sticker along with the model number.

You can pull the radio very easy, take the face and the trim ring off. Then use something very slim and stiff that will fit between the radio and the cage that holds the radio, your radio should have come with 2 metal strips about 6 inches long that are used for pulling the radio. Push those metal strips in along the sides of the radio but inside the cage, and when they are in far enough you can pull the radio out of the cage that holds it. You can pull it out about a little over half way and see the serial number on the bottom.

I hope this helps you pull the radio a little easier, since there is no way to get the radio to display the serial number on the face.
