Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Blank paper after print

My Dell 922 all in one sounds like it is printing but the paper comes out blank??? I have tried unpluging it and reinserting the cartridge nothing helps....can you help me?

    I had previously tried the maintance suggested, I did try turning my computer off and unpluging the printer, then turning the computer back on and reconnecting the printer it does print now but very small print, any suggestions as to how I enlarge the print for the printer? Thank you so much for your suggestions on this problem it is appreciated very much.

    I'm having the same problem; had not changed anything - it just quit printing out of the blue.  Printed one page fine and suddenly next page blank.  LCD says "right cartridge incorrect," although I had not touched it previously.  I took it out and put it back in - no good - so then I tried refilling it and put it back in - still no good (although I know you supposedly cannot refill Dell cartridges, I have before with no problem).  Tried cleaning/printing test page - still blank. Help!

Have you tried cartridge maint. the print head may need a cleaning cycle.

Ensure that the printer power cable is firmly connected to the printer and the electrical outlet
Determine if the printer has been held or paused
  1. In Windows XP, click Start® Settings® Printers and Faxes.

In Windows 2000, click Start® Settings® Printers.

  1. Double-click Dell Photo AIO Printer 922, and then click Printer.
  2. Make sure a check mark is not next to Pause Printing. If a check mark is next to Pause Printing, click Pause Printing to deselect it.

Check for flashing lights on the printer.
Ensure you installed the ink cartridges correctly and removed the sticker and tape from each cartridge

Make sure you loaded the paper correctly

Dell AIO 922 will not print. Err. Rt/Lt print cartridges incorrec


Probably the refilled cartridges don't work. You may want to try new Dell branded cartridges.

Cartridge stall; Nothing printed


When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.

Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.

1. Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Remove the print cartridges.

3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.

5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

6. Close the top cover.

7. Try printing again.

If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

Print head problem


Do a reset:

Dell Printer reset

1. With the power on,unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket.


Dell Printers

To run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:
1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 922 is powered on and connected to a computer.
2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
3. Press the Menu button.
4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
5. Press the Menu button.
The Dell 922 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.

6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
7. Press the Start button.
The AIO 922 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

Printer reads RIGHT CARTRIDGE INCORRECT


If you have purchased the cartridges directly from dell , it will be covered under warranty for 2 years for hardware errors and you can call dell on 1800 624 9896 and get the cartridge replaced , even after the replacement of the cartridges if you have the similar issue then its an issue with the printer and needs to be replaced.

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print


Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.
