Battery charging light will not come on when plugged in but will play back and rewind tapes. Only used it a few times and stopped using it when the battery would no longer charge. Also tried buying a new battery to see if the old one had worn out and it still does not work.

I have the same problem.

I can only use my camcorder when the cord is plugged in. it has
never held a charge even when it was brand new. it had 2 batteries with
it and neither holds a charge. any ideas. the green light stops blinking
when it is plugged in but still after a few minutes the low battery icon comes
up?

my sanyo camcorder wont charge up the battery, ive tried buying a new rechargeable battery and nothing happens the orange light stays on and ..well nothing charges up

i had the camera for a few years when i charge it light just blinks red.. Can only view videos while battery is charging.. I have a lot of videos of my kids and don't want to loose it.. what can i do?

when i connect to charge battery charing light comes on for a few minutes then goes off,a clicking sound is made while charing light is off

You know the watch battery that is often held under the screen? That battery is dead.
