Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router
On Thursday, March 3, there was a power outage, and ever since, our router has been failing every few hours. However, it only seems to affect the wireless capability of the router, as our computer physically connected to the router retains network and internet access. Whenever this happens, I must reboot the router to return the wireless network to normal.
This is not the first time this has happened (we have had a few power outages in the last year, and each time the router was similarly afflicted). Each other time, though, within a few days the router was back to full functionality. I am worried that this is not the case this time.
Try upgrading the firmware through the Routers Web Interface , and see if this will fix the problem otherwise the only other way around it is to do what you are currently doing and unplug and plug it back in, perhaps the AP was damaged as a result of a power surge , if the problem persists best bet is to buy a new one.
