It will depend on a few factors:

  1. Quality of the batteries
  2. Volume level - the higher the volume the more power the onboard amp needs to run.
  3. The display backlight. If it is always on that will also draw alot more power then if it was off.

I have a new Tork 1102 timer 240V. It works dial rotates clicks on and off but loses four hours in a 24 hour period what is wrong.

The timer motor is syncronous and meant to run on 208-277 Volt, 60 cycles per second. It appears that you have 50 cycle current running it, which would result in a 4 hour loss in every 24 hour period. There is no adjustment for this.

most companies recommend 24 hours charge time unless otherwise state in the manuals for the camera or rechargeable batteries. while with some cameras or rechargeable batteries you may be able to use right out of the box! also if are using third party rechargeable batteries then you should follow the instructions of the battery maker.

I have a Dell XPS M1210 laptop for which I have just purchased a new 9-cell compatible battery. It worked great for a couple of hours, but now shuts off immediately when unplugged from the AC power supply....

You might want to try what I did when I had a completely discharged battery for my Dell Laptop. I attached the battery to the computer, make sure the computer is off and plug in the charger for a full twenty four hours (undisturbed). And this really worked. I had no problems with the battery. Good luck.

Does not power on, but lights flash

Hi

Thank you for your query

The clicking noise you are hearing is one of 2 things

1) The CPU fan trying to turn but it cannot, therefore your PC comes on for a short period of time, overheats and switches off

2) The Hard drive is faulty and is causing a short, making the LAptop switch off

Either one will need further inspection by a qualified engineer

Please book laptop into a reputable PC shop for further diagnosis

If this has been useful please leave postive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank You Again

LCD projector spots showing up on the screen

there are light filters behind each lcd panel that determine the color of light going through it. because of excessive heat and dust, the filter tends to burn and cause discoloration in the image. if the image is bluish (cyan), the red filter is burning. if it's yellow, the blue is burning. if it's purplish (magenta), the green is burning. the filters will need to be replaced. unfortunately, many companies don't sell individual parts of the optical engine, so the entire engine might need to be replaced.

Overheat/battery drain

Hello dogwillhunt,

It is normal for a two-way radio to generate some heat, especially during extended periods of long talk time. Consumer two-way radios tend to be much more susceptible to this because they tend to be constructed out of materials that do not dissipate heat very efficiently, such as polycarbonate and plastic. Periods of heavy transmit times also use additional power, causing the radio’s batteries to run down more quickly and require replacement or recharge. Use of the display backlight feature can generate additional heat and run the unit out of battery power even more quickly.

If the radio is heating up excessively and burning through batteries (pardon the pun) in situations where you are not using the LCD backlight excessively or transmitting for long periods of time, this may be indicative of a problem with the unit that would require service, such as a short or defective component. If such is the case, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer.

The back light on the 17" monitor of my new,(almost 6 months old)Laptop, just dropped by at least 50%, while on screen saver for about a five minute period. I use it very little, I probably turn it on...

The monitor is usually governed by the power settings. It will drop after a certain period of non user interface in order to be energy star compliant out of the facotory. Use F1 to enter help and type in power settings, this will guide you on changing the presets.
