SOURCE: water dispencer in fridge not working nut ice

Hi. Activate the water dispenser and listen for the inlet valve to buz. If you hear the inlet valve and do not get water through the dispenser, there is a chance the reservor in the fresh food sections has frozen to block the water.
If the inlet valve does not buz when activated, remove the rear panel and remove the inlet valve. The 5/16" diameter hose will be attached to the solenoid you will need to test. Insert the leads of a voltage meter into the connection on the valve and activate the water dispenser. You should see a reading of 120V to the valve.
If there is voltage and the inlet valve does not respond, you will need to change the valve.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: Our GE PSC25PSTA fridge drips water from the icemaker

I have this model also for just over 3 years and it developed the same problem. The issue turned out to be the unit was in defrost mode too long caused by a failing control circuit board (found in the back under a panel cover). The board controls all refrig functions. This was replaced and the unit works normally now. The board costs around $200 plus the service call ... still cheaper than a new refig.

SOURCE: my tfx20 fridge, keeps icing up in the freezer.

If the frost builds up on the evaporator coil, sounds like the defrost heater may be out. Check continuity.
If the frost buildup anywhere else - there must be an air leak somwhere. Usually it's the gasket or the ice dispenser flap stuck open.

Good luck!

If the freezer is cold enough to freeze food hard, look for a problem in the water line, water inlet solenoid valve, or possible ice build up on the ice maker itself that does not the allow the ice maker to complete it eject cycle and start a new ice making cycle.

HI change the main board its about $150-200. Will fix all your problems except the lightbulb would be a lightsocket problem or the bulb you put in is bad, or door switch.

Please check the timer the thermostat and the heater for the auto defrosting to work. Switch off the fridge and after all the frost has gone off switch on to see if the sooling returns . If so you can be sure that the timerr does not work and so reduces cooling on frosting. If there is still no cooling then you will need to check onthe compressor and the gas pressure. Get help to confirm and take an estimate before attempting, get an warranty assurance for work. Hope you try out and see first.Good day

Your refrigerator isn't defrosting. When you melted the ice on the coils in the freezer you might have noticed a glass tube with a wire going into each end this is your defrost element that is probably bad. If it tests out good then your problem is either in the defrost thermostat, or the motherboard that tells your fridge when to defrost.
