Question about Freezers
Hi, my fridge & freezer (Kelvinator KCI37A) have stopped getting cold. I've spent today defrosting the freezer which is now clear of ice and i tried turning it back on for an hour but it still doesn't appear to be getting cold. Do i need to leave the freezer off for a bit longer to ensure any internal pipes defrost or does this sound like something more serious?
If you only removed the ice you can see without removing the back panel then you need more defrost time yes. but the frost will come back, something in the defrost system has failed. so the answer is yes to both questions off for longer and something more serious too.
