SOURCE: replacing LCD screens
ok just fixed one screen. the outside one. GET YOUR SOLDER GUN READY!, your gonna have to de-solder the speakers. to get the phone open theres 4 screws phillips head on the inside. Use a razor blade to pry the black tabs up and take the screws out. the 2 silver tabs have to come off completely. then take your razor between the top and bottom covers. theres 4 big clips on each middle section of the 4 sides. i first start on the edge that opens up. U put the razor in and very very carefully pry the top half out towards yourself it should then POP up separating the 2 sections. then i move to the top and bottom of the phone then the back side. after u got all 4 edges poped u slowly work your way around prying the top part OUT from the edge not up. Ull see what im saying when u start working on it. once the top cover starts to come off be careful that u dont pull the wires off the ear piece speaker. just take it off the top cover.
Next: theres a silver bracket that has to come off next. it holds the buttons and light on. theres a ribbon cable that i dont see any way of getting off that conects to be buttons so be careful. then u have to pry the plate that holds both LCDs in place. I only had to replace the smaller lcd so my job was faster. But if u have to replace both screens, the next step you'll have to do is.
Take the speakers out of there places buy prying them out but be very careful again. they are glued in and u can ripp the speaker covers off. but they come out easy. You also will notice that the speakers are soldered on. after that then i think both lcds will come out and u can just solder on the speakers to the new lcds. The +- are labeled. S is for speaker R-is for the mic and ear piece. took my about an hour just to replace the small lcd but i take my time and dont rush. Hope you guys have patience and a steady hand and good eyes. Good luck
